I don't think so. Especially for Argentinians (and to other South Americans) Serie A is always an attractive destination and the best Italian talent for most parts will remain here.

There is plenty of talent coming to Serie A all the time and I don't see that changing.
I agree talents are coming but they only see Serie A as a springboard to other leagues. Bayern used to sign players in their league only and now looking at fishing the Serie a market and same as PSG. For example no top players who are on the peak will want to join our league, Gundogan example. And now Gotze is available it looks like he is going to Liverpool instead.

Those are just rumours and germans have never come here in the first place.

I don't think it has anything to do with players at their peak not wanting to come here. It's just financially hard to get those players with some teams offering stupid money.

Well you could say so though it was words from Marotta himself . Let's see which top peak player will come to Serie A this summer.

As I said players at their peak come here all the time but some of those media sexy players have huge price tags on them and require huge money as seen with someone like Kondogbia it's a risky business.

Will Serie A end up being like the Dutch league? When they can't compete financially and end up being ripped apart every summer by clubs not within the league? Especially with the new TV deal for EPL, players no longer want to stay too long in Serie A , or we can hardly find our league attractive to approach other leagues top players? Most players these days will say EPL or La Liga, and then we still got Bayern and PSG who are more attractive to join due to money and CL chances.
You're blatantly exaggerating. It's never gonna happen. Football is #1 sport in Italy and it's a huge market (50-60m people) with historically relevant clubs. It generates around 1bn Euros from domestic viewers, only slightly bellow La Liga, 200m more than Ligue 1 and 300m more than BuLiga. As far as the TV rights for European competitions are concerned, SKY Italia payed hefty sum (around 750m for 3 years) and acquired broadcasting rights for the CL and EL (previously it was shared between Mediaset and SKY), consequently Italian clubs will earn more money than any other club from any other league over the next 3 seasons. Last year for English and Italian clubs the funds deriving from market pool were allocated almost equally, around 90m, for La Liga clubs 80m, BuLiga 60m... This year it's almost certain that Italian clubs will earn significantly more than their European conterparts. Comparison with the Dutch league is entirely absurd. Ajax for instance earned 12m last year from the CL market pool. Italian clubs may have dreadful results in Europe and they'd still get allocated share, since it's unrelated to sporting success.

Napoli announced they are boycotting Mediaset Premium for claiming Gonzalo Higuain won’t renew his contract.

The club released a statement this evening noting it was “astonished” at the “series of false stories” in a news report aired on Mediaset Premium.

It claimed Higuain had told Napoli that he wouldn’t renew his contract, so President Aurelio De Laurentiis with regret would seek a replacement and planned to sell him for well below the €96m release clause.

Napoli confirmed they would be boycotting Mediaset Premium and therefore giving no interviews to the pay-per-view television station, regardless of existing contracts.

Mediaset paid a great deal to snatch the rights to first pre- and post-match Serie A interviews from Sky Sport Italia.

“Napoli and its fans do not fear powerful forces and those who wish to destabilise a relaxed atmosphere, but they do demand respect.”
Napoli

They've completely lost it. Why do they care what some news outlet says and how is it destabilizing if the player and the management are on the same page and know where things stand.

Witsel only wants Roma
By Football Italia staff

Axel Witsel would reportedly turn down Juventus, Milan and Manchester City to reunite with Luciano Spalletti at Roma.

The Belgium international midfielder has long been a transfer target in Serie A and recently confirmed he intends to leave Zenit St Petersburg this summer.

According to calciomercato.it, Witsel is prepared to turn down all other options – including Juve, Milan and Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City – for Roma.

This is so he can work with ex-Zenit Coach Spalletti again, this time at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.

Witsel’s price-tag is believed to be around €25m, despite the fact his contract is due to expire in June 2017.

Marotta will link us with Witsel and let Roma splash their budget on him just like he did with Iturbe. Just like he does with several other "targets". Stupid Italian teams can't think for themselves. Moggi was the first to recognize this weakness.
