I was simply talking about Serie A though.

Inter and Milan are both putrid and top the list, Napoli and then Roma in 3rd and 4th though.
Inter will always be at the top of the list. Even if they continue to remain irrelevant and another team becomes our top sporting rival, Inter will be #1 or a very close #2.

Milan is an irrelevant joke these days and doesn't share the same Calciopoli history. They're hardly of any interest these days. Roma and its fans are pretty annoying and overtook Milan a couple of seasons ago for me.

:agree: This.

Inter is forever fixed at the top of the list because of calciopoli. The rest of the list is reserved to whoever is competing against us and how annoying they are (fans, coach, players)'s comments.

Will Napoli implode now?
I think there is a good chance that would happen but not a Roma or Inter style implosion. On the one hand they could say that they were our equals today and that we were lucky to get the win rather than a draw and this could give them confidence that they can sweep aside small clubs and equal the best club in Italy. That would be a very mature way to read the match which is not impossible but is highly unlikely given our fear factor and the crazy pressure they are about to endure to stay on our tail.

On the other hand, they might feel the pressure and see it as almost impossible to over take us again (especially if we win our next serie A game as well) and see that they missed their chance for the scudetto. They might then be content with second place and adjust their performance levels to that. 1st place is out of the question so all we need to do (they'll tell themselves) is to keep a distance from Roma, Inter and fiorentina (who are far behind in quality). Europa league is also coming and they will want to do well there since its their best shot at a trophy.

We are about to see how good Sarri is on a mental level over the next few weeks. Remember that Garcia had his team to extremely well for a very long time but then the spirit was broken, first by Conte and then finally by the CL drubbings. We will see if Sarri is better.

We shall get a very good indication of Sarri and this Napoli mid-week against Villarreal. Villareal is in 4th in La Liga this season, having a decent year. They don't score much (30 in 24), but they are very solid defensively. Tough early knockout draw for Napoli. If Sarri is taking EL seriously they'll start playing their best starting XI Thursday... If not, we'll know there focus is entirely on the scudetto, and they're hoping a weak second squad can make their way through EL but don't really care that much either way.

This could backfire on them badly. Getting knocked out of EL right after a demoralizing loss to Juve when they played quite well. Add to that matches against a fairly in-form Milan and away to Fiorentina after each leg against Villarreal, and they're in a very brutal stretch over the next 2 weeks. They could easily drop 5/6 points in Serie A and get knocked out of Europa and find their season totally collapsed by the end of the month. It really is make of break time for them, this next 2 weeks that began today. A loss to Juve - away to Villarreal - home to Milan - home to Villarreal - away to Fiorentina... Brutal stretch.

Jesus christ thats even worse then us.

Fine, bayernx2 and inter, but inter is basically rekt, and some minnow in between there

For Napoli's level, thats significantly harder.

Unless they field the reserves against villareal, but i think they wont do that, they'd want redemption for this loss

We get Bayern x2 which is tough, but the games are widely spaced out. We get Bologna away - Bayern home - Inter home - Inter away (coppa 2nd team for sure) - Atalanta away - Sassuolo home - Bayern away

None of the Serie A matches are particularly tough, considering Inter is the best team we play and we get them at home.

If Napoli manage to beat Villarreal, they'll have to play 2 more EL matches by the time we play our second Bayern match. Brutal schedule for them anyway you look at it.

I think Milan will win against Genoa. Ansaldi, Rincon, Pavoletti and Munoz don't play, the four most important players with Perin.

Anyone knows who Fiamozzi (Genoa) is?

A analyst from BT Sports said yesterday that we since 2016 only have allowed 11 shots on target (1 goal). :touched:

Bologna away is a hard one, they are going well and have beaten Napoli and Roma (before they completely imploded) at home this year.
