Guys, we can't win the damn thing every year ffs. No one does. Guess this is the year that we don't win.
Losing the scudetto is absolutely understandable. But losing the plot? We are an almost treble winning team that is now looking at a top 10 finish in our domestic league. That is simply not ok.

juve current situation remind me dortmund situation last season they had reached to the CL final two last season and they were sitting in the bottom half of the table in first half of season last year and it has happened for us in this season so far!
:agree:

Many members pointed out the similarities with Dortmund's situation during the mercato.

Worrying that Marotta couldn't see that.

Anything outside of top 3 should precipitate an immediate firing of Marotta at the end of the season.

If we're outside the top 5 at winter break Allegri should be fired to try to save the season.

True.. If this is partly due too getting and losing the CL final (mentally exhausted players) then I don't know if I want us to ever lose a final again.. Rather get kicked out at the last 4 or win the damn thing

So... is the 18 team Serie A happening or not??

I am still looking forward to it. Hopefully with 4 less games a season, squad depth will get lesser emphasis than it's now.
Also Serie A clubs had a lot of success in CL when there were 34 league games a season.

At first 16teams league then 18 because of calciopoli 20.
I'd like it to go back to 16teams so we can play once a week and go back to the past where mid-week games were just UEFA or Champions league

Half the starting eleven is new the defense (those who were here last season) are the least to blame in the whole collapse its primarily the midfield and the attack with not having a marchisio sub and dybala not being as good as tevez at 21

Donnarumma (16)
Calabria (18) - Ely (21) - Romagnoli (20) - De Sciglio (23)

If Milan will play this, will it be the youngest defense ever in Serie A?
I heard also some rumours about playing De Santis, 18 years old centre back.

Bbeelan is playing some good Italian youngsters, so +1.

Are those players good?

Romagnoli is/should be.

De Sciglio hasn't developed as hoped.

All I've seen Ely do is get sent off stupidly.

Donnarumma has played two games and made big errors in both - on Sassuolo's goal and missing a high ball in the last minute against Chievo that should have cost Milan two points but the referee bailed him out.

I don't mean to seem overly harsh on young players, but Milan's senior players being shit enough that these kids are getting a chance to play doesn't automatically mean they are good.

:agree:

Half our goals conceded have been due to midfield errors. I mean Chiellini took the stupid red card, but Lemina made the stupid foul that allowed that free kick against Sassuolo. Pogba fouled Dzeko for the free kick that allowed Pjanic to open the scoring. Insigne's goal and the Chievo goal were both on shots from outside the box where our midfielders should have closed these players down.

Our defense is at fault for maybe 4 goals this year. And it's not like our defensive record is really that bad, considering we've allowed 10 goals in 13 matches this season. It's entirely on our midfield and attack, our poor results.
