Those clubs are becoming parodies of themselves. Playing a friendly against each other on a Champions League night? :lol:

I see KP Boateng is on the bench for Meelan too.

@Fr3sh, he wrong homie?
Of course he's wrong. He's making a broad generalization. For every Sakho there's also a Mexes. There's also diminutive defenders like Evra that are extremely intelligent, as a matter of fact intelligent defenders in general are a rare breed, even our own Chiello is an idiot lol.

Honestly Eranio's comments are no better than what Ron Atkinson said about Desailly. He's just assuming that black people are lazy or ignorant. I would say that goes for a lot of modern footballers in general.

This is what he said in defence:
“It’s disappointing that people have created all this controversy. I didn’t offend anyone and I don’t want people to make out as if I’m racist. Anyone who knows me is well aware that I am not.

“It irritates me to be thrown to the wolves like this. The truth is I gave an incorrect opinion, in the sense that if I’d had to time to explain I would’ve said that I meant black players have never had a school of football in tactical terms similar to ours.

“Rudiger read the situation badly because black players are not accustomed to paying attention to certain details.

“If they were as detail-oriented as us, then they’d dominate the spot, because they have everything in terms of strength and technique.

“It was a misunderstanding, I don’t want to be made to appear racist. If they didn’t like my comment, they could’ve just told me and interrupted our collaboration. Why create all this controversy?”
This is Rudiger who is a German-born defender through the German system, in the year 2015. He's talking as if Rudiger has been picked up from a system in Ghana aged 17. If he had been then I could partly agree with what he is saying, but he made it an issue of colour rather than background.

Indeed. His so called explanation actually clarifies his utter bigotry.

European born and schooled black players never had a tactical schooling indeed...

It has nothing to do with race obviously. With culture things are different. One look at the African Cup of Nations and you do get a whole lot of athleticism and a whole lot of tactical stupidity. I guess comments like his come from people not being able to make the distinction between race and (football) culture.

As for tactically schooled black defenders, I would think our own Patrice Evra comes to mind.

I was joking tbh.

That clarification is almost worse than what he originally said :lol:
