I kinda do consider that statement disrespectful towards his former club. Eventhough they've been struggling in the last few years they are still important part of calcio's history. Also this:

If it was only one player, I would place the blame on the player, but what happened to Shaqiri is likely going to happen to Montoya and Ljajic.
