So there is a chance that Spain gets 5 teams in CL if Sevilla wins EL? That is just cruel for anyone trying to catch them on coefficients.
The thing is... No one is trying to catch them on the coefficients. They're 18 points ahead. It's probably minimum 4 years before anyone could string together enough good coefficient seasons to catch them, assuming they start having slightly worse results. They're likely to have another 20 point season this year. That will be the third in 4 years. No one else has had a single 20 point season in the last 5 years.

I spot a discontinuity. does not follow from the punchline.

Inter is specially horrible.

Love it

- - - Updated - - -

I mean, does Inter have ONE player we could be interested to have? I can't think of one.

Romais clearly a better team. Not that they're very good though.
Handanovic is top quality. Icardi, Kovacic and Shaqiri are all very promising players and should become top players. Guarin and Hernanes arent as good but should do better as they have done better before. Inter has good players its just that they can't find a system that works and have a terrible mentality. Milan are in a much worse situation because they dont even have good players.

I think Inter are only a matter of time. Mancini was always very good at bringing in cheap players that turn out great (Maicon, Stankovic, Julios Cesar, Figo, Samuel, Cambiasso, Maxwell, Crespo, Chivu) and he did a similarly great job at City bringing in Aguero, Silva, and Yaya which are their main players but ofcoarse none were cheap.
I trust his eye for talent and I think its only a matter of time before Inter become a decent team. I doubt he can make them a top team though.

no. What you described only can happen if CL and EL winner are from the same Top3 league and for the next season they both miss CL qualification through their league (4. spot).
So basically this can never happen :D

edit: It would be funny to see Napoli win EL and finish third. They would be double qualified for Champions League and Roma is the hobo on the street finishing 4th and playing EL
Why Serie-a 4th team won't get CL place if say Napoli wins EL and finish 3d?top 3 league?what is the rule?

Only if Napoli/Fiorentina will finish NOT in the CL zone in the league(top 3) then 4 teams from the Serie-A goes to CL?

it always was : double qualified(coppa for examle) -> CL/EL place goes to the next place.

What am i missing here?

Imagine how the rivalry would develop even further between Roma & Lazio. Jesus, imagine Roma miss the CL to Lazio (and 2nd place) and Totti retires :lol:
Roma and Lazio play each other in the 37th round. It would be brilliant if that's the match where Roma are officially and definitely kicked out of top 3. I'd like the Lazio players to take a collective selfie after scoring a goal for 2:0 in the last minute, with Totti still on the pitch.

UEFA changed the rules for this specific example. If Napoli wins EL and finishes 2nd or 3rd, only 1 CL spot is given for that, and 4th place still goes to EL. However, if they finish 4th or below, 3rd place still gets that CL spot as does EL winner.

the "bonus" cl-place is only available for the very team who earns it. if the el-winner qualifies for the cl, then there's no bonus cl for any team.

the 4th placed team will go to the cl in one case: if it wins the el.

Or perhaps, Klose could score to eliminate Roma, and then try to take selfie with arm around Totti...

Players: 'Inzaghi unworthy of Milan'
By Football Italia staff

There are reports Milan wanted to sack Pippo Inzaghi and players told the Coach he was “unworthy” of the job.

The Rossoneri are in crisis after their 2-1 defeat to Udinese on Saturday and risk sliding into the bottom half of the table.

Later that evening, the team was thrown into a pre-match training retreat to prepare for Wednesday’s Serie A game against Genoa.

According to the Corriere della Sera, the situation has hit rock bottom with a furious row between Coach and players on the bus back from Udine.

It’s reported Inzaghi asked Vice-President Adriano Galliani to leave the bus momentarily so he could talk to the squad alone.

At this point he told the players they were “unworthy of this jersey.”

An unnamed individual is then believed to have replied: “We might be unworthy, but you are unworthy to be Coach of Milan.”

It’s also reported that President Silvio Berlusconi was so furious at the performance in Udine that he was about to sack Inzaghi.

He only changed his mind after a telephone consultation with Galliani later that evening.

Milan’s situation is in flux, as today Berlusconi is due to meet Thai investor Bee Taechaubol for takeover talks.
Milan

It needs to be said....

Aside from his first 3 months, Gervinho @ Arsenal was far better than Gervinho @ Roma
+
Graziano Pelle can't even start for mid table Serie A sides, now kicks Premier League ass @ Southampton
+
3 Italian teams left in SFs in European Competition, no English teams.

SO....

Serie A > Premier League and it's not even close.

Come at me bros

I would agree with you if the Italians kept these results for the next 3-4 years, but this season might only be a 1 season flick.

Lol, my first thought too. The rumours, though, are that it was Cerci.
Cerci is ultra-bad. Not in the "haha milan players suck" manner but he actually plays like he wouldn't cut it at Cagliari.
Absolutely disgraceful to open your shitty mouth at your coach like that after you have fired 15 crosses out of the stadium.
