One of the dirtiest players ever don't tell me he's not an ass.
On the pitch, he does a lot of fouls and is one of the leaders with bookings in the PL history, but I just can't hate him, I don't know why. Maybe it's because he doesn't cause controversy outside the pitch. He was a very quiet guy.

Giggs however, was a good boy on the pitch. But we all would agree that he is an ass, wouldn't we?

Watching pre injurie Del Piero would look similar to what Baggio did :D
That's because you don't focus on small details :disagree:

Though I agree what you are saying, he's the most elegant player that played this game. On entertainment and creativity only Ronaldihnio on his top came close for me.
True, no one comes close to Ronaldinho's creativity, not even Zidane. But Ronaldinho's was a pure show, Zidane for instance combined both show and elegance.

You can't react to Maldini, you just can't, any player would be ashamed to react or troll him on the field.
Why not? Classy players like Del Piero for example would have never reacted the way Maldini did to Chiello. Remember Mexes on Ale? That was class by Ale.

Stuff like this for example, cant get it, different opinions to a point (one thing to state he was overrated a bit or such etc), but whats detestable or pukeworthy of an immense footballing legend like Maldini? Had a career very few can dream of and was generally a good class act professional.
Even if I believe that Maldini is overrated, I despise him because he's a Milan legend.

Simply because he is a Milan legend, nothing else? You despise someone just for playing for a rival even though his playing qualities/career and behaviour showcases very little to nothing thats dislikeable?

I would be puzzled if I was faced by same logic by fans of other clubs when it comes to Del Piero, in fact I have. And oh, Ale has had his bit hot tempered little moments, its only human. The fact its so rare and barely noticeable shows the class acts both are.

Mexes and Cufre too.

Del Piero had his temper too at times, you can't control yourself and not let it slip when you are playing since 20 years in Serie a. That said, both are class.

Guys, you have to make your mind up, either you value the principle of loyalty to one's club/team or not. If you do, then you have no right to make fun of Totti for not winning titles, he was always an amazing player that played for a team that was rarely ever a favorite to win the Serie A, and definitely not the CL. If you don't believe that loyalty is that important, then you have no right to hate players whom you believe have "betrayed" Juve such as Zlatan, Thuram, Zambrotta and co..

Why do I have a feeling that some of the exact same people who make fun of Totti for his lack of titles also hate some ex Juve players for their perceived lack of loyalty?
:agree: You've got to give props to Totti for those aforementioned reasons. He's just always lacked class and humility vis-a-vis his opponents.

Klin is a cheap prostitute.

Maldini has always been a Juve fan, even when he debuted for Milan.

It's possible.

I remember a friend of mine, Liverpool supporter, e-mailed me a link to this video:

This was probably his attempt to make me acknowledge Gerrard, say something positive about him or fuck if I know.

I didn't feel a single thing watching that video, not a damn thing. It's full of epic music, grand slow motion scenes, heartful commentary etc. but not a single emotion was induced on my part. I hate Liverpool too damn much, and that fucking player is one of the most digusting players I can ever think of. It's not based on reason, it's all completely irrational, and I know it well.

So I gotta side with Klin here. If he hates Maldini, so what? :D

I'm rational, logical, polite etc. in every other aspect of life, but when it comes to football I just want to go full apeshit sometimes. It's part of why I find it so appealing, that once in awhile I can take a break from that picture perfect and politically correct nonsense of every day life and just go: "FUCK YOU, TOTTI, YOU ROMANISTA PIECE OF SHIT!!!"

Football :touched:

I even got abuse for having the audacity to say that Baggio was better than Del Piero (which he clearly was, even if the fanboys on here will never admit it). They went nuclear when I praised Totti the player as a genius.
Baggio was clearly a better and more complete player than Ale, his contribution for Italy on the biggest stage is testament to that, although I prefer DP and his playing style, his moves looked more graceful and seemed to posses more creativity than his predecessor. Baggio was more consistent on the other hand. People are mentioning DP's injury as impeding factor, but Baggio was sidelined for a year due to an injury in his early days in Vicenza.

Totti imho falls behind these two, but he likewise was immensely talented player and should be recognized as such.

Always had massive respect for Maldini, outstanding defender and exemplary behavior on and off the pitch.

Why the fuck not? I feel like vomiting when I look at his face. It was a great moment when I saw he retired, just like it would be the day I see Totti leaving the pitch for good.

Mexes and Cufre too.

Of course he also had his moments, but I don't recall him grabbing someone from their shirt like a thug.

I agree with you on this.
Liking/disliking a player is highly subjective, and we sometimes we just can't explain why we like/dislike a player.

Well, you're entitled to your opinion. Because as I said before liking/disliking a player is subjective. I still like Scholes and despise Giggs though. :D

I have known quite a few Italians who resent Ale, because he has failed to deliver for the national team.

But I believe that there comes a point where you have to show some respect. Even if I absolutely cannot stand Lionel Messi, you have to admire what he has given to the game and to Barcelona. Same goes for Totti, who, by the way, is far from as disgusting as a lot of people make him out to be. Sure, he can be a bit daft in the heat of a postgame interview, but all in all he's quite likeable.

Like I said: Totti can be a stupid motherfucker. Especially when he gets riled up. But he's not the sheer evil people make him out to be.

Seriously, how can you like Scholes if you're not a Manchester supporter?
Pirlo and Xavi certainly likes him.

no one called him evil.
No, he is the devil incarnate.

Seriously though, the hate for Totti among Juve fans has only escalated in the last two years when Roma are our main threats. When Roma was a harmless team, the hate for Totti was there, but not this much.
