but we dont even know what system we are gonna use next season. in this current (4-3-1-2) i cant see Berardi working either (i could be wrong, im basing this on what ive seen from him), but if we would field a 4-3-2-1 with Berardi and Tevez behind Morata, i can see him fit in very well. he would have a similar role he has now at Sassuolo
Well, if we can believe the websites saying we're still looking for a Trequartista than we'll probably keep our current one. And maybe have 4-3-3 as plan B.

what if we dont get anyone and decide to give Berardi a shot? :klin:

anyway, a trequatista and Tevez as starters and Berardi and Coman as plan B doesent sound bad ether

All of which will be sold to better teams in better leagues.
Some might. Players like Dybala will be hard to keep, considering the difficult state of most top Italian clubs where once these extremely talented youngsters would regularly move in seach for bigger challenge. Now neither of these could afford 40m bid. But Berardi is bound to be recalled this summer, Zaza also looks to be well on his way to find a place here instead of Llorente. Morata will probably never be a player that would make Real bid for his return. Icardi will stay at Inter, for a while at least. Can't see Babacar switching leagues just yet. After a few years of rather underwhelming offensive players in Serie A, this season offers more excitement in this department.

Lets make a bet.

Of Coman, Zaza, Berardi, Rugani, and Sturaro,
how many will turn out good enough to be starting in a winning Juventus team (as good as the current one)? I say two of them AT BEST will be decent enough to be first team. One can be somewhat special but thats about it. The rest will be depth if not offloaded on loan or sold.

So 2 starters, 1 of which is special.

What do you think? How much higher would you go?

im going with Coman, Berardi and Rugani as potential starters (dont know when exactly though). not sure what you mean with this "special" but id predict Sturaro as a good rotation player...

also, what are we betting for? if its money i dont bet with money. if its something stupid as an avatar or other "internet things" then sure, why not

Yeah Avatar or Username crap.

Alright so your bid is 3 starters and one rotation player (that means he still gets good game time). So anything that equals that or exceeds it over the next 2 seasons then you win. Do you want to specify if any of the 3 starters will be world class? or are the starting 3 world class (tevez, Vidal level players)

My bet is 2 starters, one of which is world class (thats what I meant by special) and the rest for the bench.

the 3 that are starting, Coman WC, Rugani WC, Berardi very close to WC at worst...

actually, your prediction is not so pessimistic either. so you do have some faith in youth after all :touched:

My prediction is 1/5 world class in the best case scenario, the other starter will be starting because we wont have a top level squad by then rather than because he is actually very good. I dont really believe any will be world class but I am putting 1 just in case.

oh, thats very pessimistic. both that you believe none will be WC and that you believe they will be starting because we wont have anyone better.

OK, its on...

You two should probably make an agreement on what exactly "world class" means... Does it mean a top 5 player in the world? Top 10? Top 50? Is it based on overall, or their respective positions? Top 10 in the world at a position? Does that mean world class? What if people think that defenders all suck today, and there's only like 1 world class defender in all of football? Etc etc.

This bet could take years to finish, by the way.

Its not really the bet we are after. Its more of making our predictions explicit so that we can troll each other and give material for others as well to do the same later on.

I think you and @Hustini should also make your predictions explicit.

We can set world class to mean would have a serious shot at starting for Madrid or Barca

I'd say Berardi, Coman and Rugani, based on a pure talent, have a good chance to become WC at their respective positions in a few years. Don't think that people should be woried this much about some of our older players that might leave or if their levels of performances deteriorate, since there are relatively solid replacements at hand that will make transition go smooth.

I predict none of them turn out WC. Berardi, Rugani, Coman probably have the potential, although Coman is still a little young to decide that... Sturaro and Zaza don't have the potential to be starters at top 10 teams in Europe, bench options, sure, not starters. So of the three that have potential to be world class, safest bet is that not a single 1 turns out World Class, as you're probably looking at World Class meaning top 5-10 in the world at their position depending on strength of the position. The number of 20 year olds with world class potential is probably 10X the number that actually turn out world class in reality.

My bet. 2 decent-good starters. 1 bench player. 0 world class.

Yeah we share the same sentiments.
