is doumbia really that much better than destro? I thought destro looked decent towards the end of last season
It's almost impossible to know just how good Destro is... His goal to minute played ratio is extremely impressive. It was by far the best in the league last year. A goal every 95 minutes played. And even this year, it's very good for how inconsistently he sees the pitch. The guy must be severely lacking in motivation and confidence with Garcia refusing to play him regularly. Garcia is obsessed with playing Totti instead. The number of minutes being logged on Totti's 38 year old legs is ridiculous, when they had a 23 year old there who clearly has talent, desperate for playing time.

I mean, Destro probably isn't a world beater, but he could turn out pretty damn good.

his goal to minutes ratio was decent at siena i seem to remember, yeah I doubt he will be a world beater but I hope he does well in milan as I think he is good enough to start for Italy.

Some may admire Totti and his loyalty to Juve but if you ask me I think he is what has been holding Roma up for years

Hehe. :shifty:

I agree with you though. He should have been willing to play less of a prominent role in that team for the last 3-4 years. His unwillingness to play second fiddle to anyone in attack is holding them back severely.

We'll see how he does at Milan now.

Destro can only play in the box. It's not necessarily a bad thing but CFs these days can do that and sometimes much more. For example, Morata running people down and taking the ball.

Destro needs constant service.
