There's a reason as to why Roma, Napoli (last season), and Fiorentina manage to score more than us and do relatively better than us in Europe.

Because they play solid technical football which allows them to create far more chances.

we play some disgusting, boring, sloppy football honestly

So, topping our Group and reaching QFs in CL two years ago was what exactly? Worse than Roma's 7-1 loss to Bayern last week? Worse than Fiorentina doing what exactly in Europe lately (considering we actually beat Fiorentina in EL last year over two legs)? I'm confused...

How about we wait to see how the Group stage finishes before we label Roma's European campaign (including a 7-1 home loss to Bayern) as more successful than ours...

There are some issues and let's hope we iron these out, but in no way can you present the likes of Roma or Napoli as technically superior teams and the ones that have been more successful. It's Roma's first year in the CL after a while, Napoli was eliminated in the groups last year and didn't even qualify for this season, while we eliminated Fiorentina last season in the EL.

We suck in Europe, but LOL at saying that Napoli and Roma are better than us in Europe and that they are technically better. Napoli just got turned over by fucking Young Boys in the EL, and Roma were gang raped infant of the entire world. Lets not forget we've gone further in Europe in the past few years than either of those teams.

If we were as good as some say we are we should've never encountered Fiorentina in Europe last year.

Why did we fail to collect more than 6 points last year? Disgusting, UNWATCHABLE (if you're a neutral) overly defensive football.

The same is happening this year.

Roma despite the 7-1 thrashing has played well. We on the other hand... haven't had a good game since 3-0 home victory in 2012/2013. That was nearly 2-3 years ago.

It's time to wake up

I said Napoli last year, and actually you have to be blind to deny that Roma DOES play the better football.

Napoli was playing great in the CL, and were very unlucky to be eliminated.

We are downright awful in Europe and it's because of our play style.

Even Southampton and Villareal play better football than us despite them having inferior squads.

Wake up

When I say technical I mean the manner of which they play. Roma plays fast paced AT a high tempo. They are able to create far more goal scoring chances an as a result have the opportunity to score more.

We're a joke in the UCL

-Napoli was eliminated on 12 points in a tougher group

-Roma actually has more points than us and scored 7 goals already. Despite the result vs Bayern (which I think was a one-off actually) they are doing better in the group of death than we are in a group containing AM, Olympiakos and Malmo...

And yet Napoli was still eliminated. Aside from the fact their group wasn't actually really tougher than ours. Last year Real Madrid was massively better than BvB, and Arsenal was slightly better than Gala. Napoli had a better group stage only in point total. And then we proceeded to go further in EL than Napoli did.

This year, we've played 3 games. Two of them away, the games that we're always going to be tough to win. Against Atletico away, the CL Finalists and La Liga holders. And Olympiakos away, who managed to beat Atletico in their ground too. It's a tough ground to play at. Let's wait until at least our next game is played. If we beat Olympiakos at home, and Roma lose to Bayern away (likely scenario), we're on 6 points, Roma on 4, and we're the club that didn't lose 7-1 at home.

Now stop being such a foolish child. Wake up yourself. Snap judgments after 3 games, in a 6 game group stage are utterly pointless.

Sampdoria has managed an impressive string of results, but normally these small or mid-table teams being strong at the beginning of the season don't last very long. At best they'll get to 6th place imo.

@Osman Has that Sampdoria guy over at the XT already become completely unsufferable? :D
He is actually like some of th semi-negative nancies here regarding his own team, like Linebreak (ok no, no one can be like him:D), doesnt like Sinisa and thinks this is a fluke/lucky form, and generally realist who know things will wind down for them.

Arsenal was far better than manager less Galatasaray

btw no one is asking to beat the runners up at home, but a decent performance with a shot on target would be nice don't you think? Or how about atleast one goal vs olympiakos? Or are we not good enough to do that?

That reminds me even a SH1t team like arsenal does better in the UCL than us.

The game with Atletico was that type of game FFS. Atletico only had 2 shots on target. Lucky for them, they managed to score one of those two shots. It was a cagey, defensive battle. We weren't dominated. Our strategy was actually a decent one for getting a result.

Olympiakos was a poor result, but if you seriously think a team with as many good chances as we had would often go scoreless, you're hopeless. That keeper was by far the man of the match. His saves were incredible. Our finishing was poor, and we had some very poor stretches in the game, but we certainly created a large number of chances in the second half.

We've been poor, but you engage in far too much hyperbole and negativity. It's lame. And pointless.

Excuses, excuses, excuses.

No defense in the world should deny you a shot on target.

Both were poor performances and poor results.

Can't wait for Inter vs Juve in the EL quarter finals, because this is where we will end up if we don't change this disgusting style NOW

Idk man. We have a tendency to go scoreless regardless of how many chances we create. It's the third year in a row we see this. It can't be jotted down to luck at this point.
