I think eventually it would help if Italian teams would stop spending on crap foreigners and gave youth a chance for a change, yeah, teams like Napoli and Inter are a disgrace.

That's what worries me

I mean the current generation of Italians is pretty damn poor, the only top class ones are at the latter stages of their careers. And whilst we and perhaps Roma/AC Milan will have the pick of the best Italians, the other clubs are going to be pissed when they absolutely have to play players that for all intents and purposes look to be bang on average

There are positives obviously, but atm in our league which is lagging behind the big 3, the last thing we need to do is limit ourselves to who we can all actually buy and play.

this is a horrilbe rule. remind me of the only 1 non eu rule figc imposed in 2010 after azzurri shitty wc.


this is simply not going to work. by the time clubs statr to focus on developing youth, they will be another 10 tears behind europe.

We have the same rule in RFPL, we even had worse few years ago - 7 russians + 4 foreigners on the field and what it gave us? Absolutely nothing except young lowskilled millionaires who were playing(and still playing) only because of russian passport :sergio: mediocre italians will start to ask instantly for bigger salaries and teams will be forced to pay them because of this limit shit :sergio:

There are examples of federations who have this rule. All you have to do is look at their results to figure out if it's worthwhile. The answer is no.

There are examples of federations like Spain and Germany who have found other ways to grow their player base. All you have to do is look with your eyes.

FIGC is filled with the biggest idiots in the nation.

Limit is the evil, as russian footballer you are playing only because of ur passport not because of ur skills etc., especially when we had 6+5 limit, there were dozens and dozens of unskilled players but team were forced to play them and pay them millions and millions

Build more youth academies of football, build new stadiums, limit is the shortest way to enlarge players pool for national team but it's the worst way, wake up tavecchio

The rule is a fucking disgrace. Forcing clubs to play shitty Italian players won't help but will set Serie A going backwards even faster. Italians will earn too much and won't even care because they'll always find a well paid job. It'll inflate the prices for them even more too.

How about going the Spanish and/or German way? Start to teach those kids something useful instead of early 90's tactics. Italians aren't worse people than Germans and Spanish. It's all about teaching and training. Introduce B teams and it'll be all good.

Other Tavecchio's idea is to lower the number of teams in Serie A (20->18) and Serie (22->20). That's definitely a good idea. The level of the league will be definitely higher. Teams playing in cups will be allowed to rest more and have shorter benches (less players for the same money -> more quality). Also teams from the middle of the table will finally show they give a fuck because they won't be that safe anymore.

This is about everything, can you imagine all those other foreigners just sitting all the season to play few games in europe?

Anyway, I'm up for this rule. Anything that brings back identities to football (not just italian, but in general) I for it.

I think one of the better things that they could do is to implement B squad games. Like in spain where Real B can play in second division.

Lesser teams mean lesser games which means smaller revenues.

Maybe it's true but the league is on the downfall anyway. Clubs have to compete in Europe instead of just participating int it because if the trend continues the revenues will decrease anyway. Besides it's not that bad; just 4 games with not worthy opponents won't make that much difference.

If the calendar was set properly Italian teams would play decent opposition on the European stage instead of playing minnows in Serie A. It'll attract more attention this way definitely
