Iturbe (22 mil) + Doumbia (14.4 mil) + Manolas (13 mil) = almost 50 million euros spent and now they're worse off than last year, struggling to hold second place (which I believe will be Napoli's at the end of the campaign)

:lol::lol::lol:
This is what happens when you have a revolving door of players coming in and out.

They are going to keep doing this until they can generate more revenue for themselves.

A few years ago I was one of those who really liked what they did with their transfer campaigns, in acquiring all of those young talents. However, I was under the impression that they would have formed the foundation of the new Roma, not selling them off every other year to fill in the gaps with their roster.

It's funny how Sabatini is taking all the blame by himself. He knows he fucked up big time.
I know, he fucked up big time. But I can't help but feel a little respect for him. It takes a big man to admit his mistakes publicly.

Exactly, I really liked Roma a couple of seasons ago. But right now they are just a richer version of Udinese.
Sabatini made huge mistakes in the last two transfer window and they paid for it. I think that they gambled that Iturbe would be the next Lamela or Marquinhos and sell him for a higher price in the future. Which so far is not the case.

It's not like they had a choice in selling their players. When teams from the EPL and bayern show interest, no one will decide to stay with Roma.
