Parmalat had $$$$, lots of it. Look at this

Mazinho (94' WC winner and Thiago's father), Roberto Carlos (Yes, that one), César Sampaio (Another 94' WC winner and played the final in 98 against France), Edílson (The guy who destroyed Real Madrid's defense in 00), Zinho (Another WC winner), Edmundo (Paired with Batistuta at Fiorentina in the late 90's and played at the WC in 98), Evair (A legend for the club, also the guy's loved by Atalanta fans)

And you know who was also part of this team but isn't in that picture? Rivaldo. :D
I'm guessing that's palmeiras, they were hit quite hard by parmalat's demise too.

I remember Edmundo, spent time in jail for causing a car crashing killing 3 people

:agree:

Great player, had a terrible temper though. There was a time when he also paired with Romário for Vasco. What an attacking force that was.

Regarding Serie A, so had so much talent everywhere, man.

WOW!!
This is really happening it seems, what shame, sad story really.

Parma. A team that played a major role in my love affair with Italian football. Will always have a little sympathy for the club.
Exactly.
Such a formidable team back in the days, fighting with us till the very last day for Scudetto. Some of the finest players in calcio of the 90es played there. And yeah, that jersey was fantastic.
Yeah,they used to be great.
I mean look at that team. Buffon, Thuram, Cannavaro, Veron, Crespo, Stanić, Chiesa, etc... Star studded. On every position they basically had one of the best players in the world.
Yeah...we always shoped there.
What a team, they had great days.

Sad......
Only one worth taking is Jose Mauri.
Him and Cerri,2 very nice young talents.
So are their players free agents now? Can we get Cerri for nothing?

Garcia rejects claims he has lost confidence of Roma players

The Giallorossi have had a disastrous start to 2015, but the coach insists that his players are still behind him as he attempts to end the club's dreadful run of form

Roma coach Rudi Garcia has rejected claims that he has lost the confidence of his players and is desperate for his team to end their disastrous run of form at Verona on Sunday.

The Giallorossi have won just one of their last six Serie A games, and are now 10 points behind leaders Juventus - albeit with a game in hand.

On Thursday, Roma drew 1-1 at home to Feyenoord in the Europa League - meaning they have not won a game at the Stadio Olimpico for three months. This has led to reports that Garcia has lost sections of the dressing room.

“You would have to ask the players that but I see no change in the attitude between us,” Garcia said in his pre-match press conference.

“We have great players and great men in this locker room, but they must know they can resolve the game individually and collectively. We must do everything to win at Verona, because until we put together a run of victories, there is no point talking about first place."

Garcia insists that Roma's poor form is also down to bad luck - citing an offside in the build-up to Feyenoord's equaliser as well as a number of enforced absentees in 2015.

“Hopefully we won’t concede an offside goal every game," he complained.:lol:

“Our choices on the market were excellent, but we didn’t know at the start of December that Gervinho would be in the Africa Cup of Nations until the final, or that Victor Ibarbo would get injured after two days.

“Of course, we are going through a difficult moment. We are much stronger if the players feel the belief around them. I want everyone to make their criticism constructive."

Roma have obtained 45 points from 23 Serie A games, and are five points clear of third-placed Napoli.
He is still going on about this shit  What a total fucking loser.
