The last time they were in CL, and did quite well there, they ended up 5th in serie A, 23 pts behind the winners. Now, it depends what "more than capable to perform in two tournaments" means. Are they good enough to play in CL and fight for the scudetto, or just good enough to play in CL and make the top 3 comfortably, unlike 2 years ago when playing in Europe cost them a top 3 finish.

Well, their first string of players don't have what it takes to make it further than the round of 16 anyway, unless they are lucky with their draw. I think round of 16 and fighting for the scudetto is a fair prediction for this season.

Making it to the round of 16 means that they will have 16 serie A matches just before and after a CL match, which is more than 1/3 of the season. It is here, on these 16 matches, where Napoli will have to win at least 70% of them if they want to stand a chance for the scudetto. Being in pot 4, they will probably get a tougher group, which makes everything harder for them domestically.

At the end of the day, Juventus are their worst enemies, our squad eclipses anything in Serie A if we play at our full potential we'll destroy most teams. We now have game changers who can create out of nothing, once Tevez hits full flow along with the rest of the team we'll have no rivals.

There's also something Napoli haven't got, a winning mentality, Juventus are used to the pressure, Napoli have so much on their shoulders this year, can they handle it?

I meant back then in 2011/2012 he didn't talk about it much. This year, before the season started, he actually said we are the team to beat in Serie A.

btw: if you guys really think napoli are that strong you should probably consider a bet. bookies offer up to 7 to 1 on a napoli scudetto win. free money right there...
