I'm genuinely impressed with the signings clubs are making across the board in Serie A this season. For those doubting Milan you ought to think again. They may not look spectacular on paper but they didn't in the 11/12 season either. They have one of the better attacks in the league and if Balotelli stays fit he can single handedly hoist them into top 3 contention ala Ibrahimobitch and take them into CL quarters if they're lucky. Moreover, Napoli's defense is not at a top 3 standard. That is going to be a big problem for them all season IMO. Their season is the most difficult to predict because you just don't know how Benitez will fare while we're yet to see what Higuain is capable of as the sole star in a new team.
 I refuse to write off Milan this season. They are a solid enough squad with a fantastic attack, the refs will no doubt be on their side again and they somehow always manage to reach the "podium position" /end Galliani mode.

I don't understand how people are repeatedly saying that the Milan teams are bad. Milan had a fantastic run from January onwards last season and there is no reason they can't do the same again this time around from the beginning of the season. Inter has a young team and Mazzari did great work with Napoli and there is no reason either that he can't do the same with Inter.

As for the others, Napoli have lost Cavani but brought very good players instead. And all the talk about Benitez is just bull$#@!, the man has won titles. He won the CL with Liverpool FFS. The base that Mazzari has left and their attacking power can only become better with Benitez's defensive balance, they will do very good this season.

Fiorentina played very good football last season and they have strengthened their squad very much. Their coach seems very good and has an idea and a plan on what to do with the team.

Laugh on the other Serie A teams all you want but the fact remains is that we bought two forwards and still have no idea how they will turn out to be.
This.

Any 'race' for the title at this point seems almost impossible. If Fiorentina stay solid then I predict, without CL they may push us. I know I'm not supposed to, but I do like this Fiorentina and I like Montella in particular. He deserves more than what he got from Roma. Let's hope Milan and Napoli have some success in CL and suffer in the league as a consequence.

I want Napoli to overshadow the Milano trannies as our main rivals. In fact I want them to be forgotten, just like Liverpool.

PS Llorente vs Gomez vs Balotelli vs Higuain vs Klose vs Milito (?) :tuttosport:

I still think that Juve's biggest challengers will be Fiorentina, but if, and only if, Rossi can stay healthy. If that happens, with Gomez and him in attack, and that midfield they have.

Watch out.

All in all though, I am very happy to see that Serie A appears to be on the upswing again.

Personally i dont see either of our strikers score 20+ in the league or even in the 16-20 region to be honest.

Capocannonienere will be between Gomez,Higuain,Balo and Di Natale.
