that was very diffrent actually.

Back then, it was chairmen funding the big player transfers. world class players. players for the first 11. Or they made huge loans for those.

Nowadays, with the oil; those teams buy like 7 players per position, young and old, for massive wages

see the diffrence ?

they had a rich owner, untill that company went bankrupt, and they had to sell everything

Entirely funded by zidane, who was entirely funded by a big loan at a spanish bank

See this lion and elvin ? this is the point

veron, crespo, stam, mendieta : all world clas
aren't you the mr. economist?

loaned money, oil money, what is the difference? it doesn't really matter unless they faked those money

oil team buy 7 players for a position? who and where? you are exaggerating things

wages, are you telling me that you yourself are okay if someone give you 1993 rated wages in today economy?

inflation happen everywhere, why not in football? unless fifa forced cap on transfer and wages

if crespo was world class then falcao also is and worth that 60m

and mendieta wasn't world class, if mendieta was world class then jovetic is easily worth 30m

didn't lazio used to throw crazy money at players? they bought crespo for insane money back then. not to mention inter.
Most of Italian clubs did that in the last decade. You remember Inter paying Milan 30M for Coco? Or Roma and Lazio trading primavera players between them for ridiculous amounts? Those clubs tried to pump up their revenues in this way which later on brought them on the verge of bankruptcy only to be saved by Berlusconi's "Act of salvation calcio" when they were allowed to distribute certain costs like amortization through period of 5 years. Later on it went back to normal.
