that had more to do with the problems and politics within the camp rather than his tactical set up
While that was certainly a factor. I also think his approach didn't work with the kind of players he played. Cabaye, Nasri, Ben Arfa and the likes aren't likely to enjoy playing in a setup that requires them to be tactically aware, hard working and limits their creative freedom. The personnel and the tactics were not exactly the best fit imo.

Especially your favourite player

:D

He has always been an ego, ever since his L'OM days. Not sure why he thinks he's such a world beater, when he probably only had 2-3 good seasons in his career.

Not entirely true imo.

I remember him playing Malouda as a CM which was a failure, Ribery's lack of defending which he never adressed, his double rightback plan failed against Spain and Benzema's role during the EURO's was odd too. He failed with France imo.

as true as that may be, i don't think blanc is a bad choice but his success or failure at roma will depends on Totti and his influence on and off the pitch just as it always has been with roma

Let me put it this way, any competent coach at this point would be a massive improvement over Luis Enrique and Zeman, they were simply experiments gone wrong.

Who'll coach PSG now if Ancelotti moves to RM? I thought Blanc would coach PSG 'till Wenger is available.

I heard leonardo might coach them for a season if he doesnt end up getting suspended by LFP.
and then maybe wenger to take over him after 13-14 season.that seems like the plan apparently.just rumors tho.

who knows, with heynckes confirming his retirement today there are basically no available top managers to fill the void at either RM or PSG. Mancini is about the only name that springs to mind but PSG will be looking to bring a manager who will take them another step in europe which mancini doesn't offer. I had seriously thought that Klopp might have been available and join the exodus but he seems to be content with Dortmund for at least another season.

If Mancini goes there I bet he'll won't make it out of the group stages of the CL and will lose the league to friggin Ranieri :D

Leonardo seems like a disaster too, PSG are fvcked bigtime if Ancelotti leaves

well likewise RM are already fucked if they can't bring Ancelotti in.

who would have thought that the success of psg and RM next season lies with Ancelotti's next move

mancini won't lose the league to ranieri :D

poor monaco will have to put up with another season of ranieri because there are basically no better managers available with the exception of mancini :p

.
My issue was not with their general set-up.

What bugged me was the lack of penetration in the final third.

Benzema would drop deep among the attacking midfielders and they would end with about five players just loitering around the edge of the box and no-one moving meaningfully off the ball or really occupying a goal-scoring postion.

They just dicked around until someone had a shot from long range or they messed up their overly intricate play.

France are always a tough NT to manage. Too many over inflated ego's in there.
Like Roma...?

Paulinho on inter

"If Inter want me they have to come forward with a right offer. I’m not a kid. I’m fine in Brazil, I play in a strong side like Corinthians and I’m one of the Selecao’s regular eleven. I must have the right motivations to leave all that.”
