I know but it's nice to see players supporting their hometown clubs. Buffon has his Carrarese. Don't know if it's been posted before but there was a cool story of him and his fanaticism for his hometown club which led to him buying them.

Sad story indeed. Poor Buff. That must have been hard to see the fans of his team angry about the relegation.
I hope he doesnt sell the club, and when he retires, he work full on that project.

Moratti is packing his bags. "I'll only sell Inter if it benefits them." - Corriere
He's taking his father's steps.
Dont believe a word from that man. The same with Berlusconi.

Moratti was in this position like 10 years or so ago, with people wanting him to resign and so on...
He doesn want to leave, and will never do so.

Better for us anyways.... that guy is done for.....and hi streak of luck/treachery after calciopoli ran out already.
His shitty team will return to its usual self of being shit.

Fans are a fickle sort. Very quickly they have forgotten all the good things he's done for them.

Of course. I would be more afraid if someone with decent football knowledge take them over.

Juventus vs. Italy. Who would win? Given Juventus sign an additional top forward this summer.

Juventus:
Buffon
Barzagli
Bonucci Chiellini
Lichtsteiner Vidal Pirlo Marchisio Asamoah
Llorente Higuain

Italy:
Buffon
Maggio Barzagli Chiellini De Sciglio
De Rossi Pirlo Marchisio
Cerci Balotelli El Shaarawy

I think we'd win. Juventus still have Buffon and the wall backline, the genius of Pirlo, and the heart of Marchisio :)D). In addition to that we'd have the firepower of Higuain and Llorente upfront.

2-1 Juve. :weee:

Talks about heart, mentions Marchisio, and forgets Vidal :yao:
Vidal is our warrior and puts everything into his game. I know that.

What I was trying to say is, Juventus is the spine of the Italy NT. We have all the qualities of the Italy NT and more.

I've always assumed and believed that top National Teams are always better than their domestic top club but in Italy's case I don't think so.

i honestly don't know why you assumed that because the top clubs tend to be much better than the top NT. Much better.

At least in the top leagues. The lower ones I can see it being the other way.

Roma have rejected a 20M offer from RM for Marquinhos according to La Gazetta dello Sport @Dule90

I dont know much about Marquinhos but that´s a shitload of cash for such a young and unproven CB.

I heard they rejected 30mln earlier.

But yeah, tons of cash. He's very talented though, he plays very mature for his age already.

If they intend on keeping all their promising youngsters, sign some well established names to improve their first team and for once get a capable coach (Luis Enrique, Zeman loool) then they'll have a true shot at Serie A success imo.

Destro, Marquinhos, Lamela, Florenzi, Pjanic are good players. Benatia coming their way too. De Rossi has turned kinda meh but he needs to refind himself. I think they are 3 or 4 good signings away from having one of the better starting 11 in Serie A.

When I saw Benatia is close I instantly thought they'd sell Marquinhos.

I don't think they'll ever succeed till they drop Totti. They are building their game around him which is very retarded.

As for their coach, apparently it's gonna be Blanc.

    Isn't Blanc a counter-attacking coach?

Could be worse for them, saw them linked with Bielsa the other day, a bullet to dodge.
