he's just pissed that he could have joined a better team for a low fee/free but decided to renew instead with a shit team

and replace him with some hack like de canio? Petkovic is not a bad manager, just trying to make the most out of what is a shit team
De Canio would be ideal for that Nazio club. Petkovic is a gentleman and should go elsewhere. His time is up.

I disagree. This generation of Italian players is quite good, the problem is that the players are not getting enough playing time.

Obviously big clubs like Juve won't field such young players unless they are monster like Pogba but my issue is with the smaller teams.

There really is no reason why like a club like Catania should have 80% of their players being mediocre Argentinians while they could give playing time to young Italians who will be just as good, if not better.
Or take a look at a club like Lazio. When was the last time Lazio promoted a youth player to their senior team? I am not saying that their youth system is stellar but they should try giving youth a chance.
In that case, i agree with you entirely.

What do you think of how we handle berardi ?

I think we're doing well, him staying at Sassuolo this season is excellent for his development, especially since he is their main player (and penalty taker).

I'd wait until the summer to decide if he is ready to join us next season. He has started this season very promisingly but he is too raw at the moment and far from ready to come here. If Sassuolo stays in Serie A, I'd consider letting him stay another year unless he is very impressive until the end of the season and finishes with something like 20 goals+assists.

From what I have seen, he is not a traditional winger and is more of an inside forward of Marco Reus' type. He could definitely work on the side of a 4-3-3/4-2-3-1 or as a second striker in a front two.
