No way that's really one of their kits. That's the stupidest looking football shirt i've ever seen.

Worse than that one Italy had in 2010 with the fake stomach muscles
I thought the guy posting this earlier was joking but it's really their 3rd kit. Rather awful one.

The camo jersey will come in handy for those Napoli players who wish to venture out into the cesspool that is Naples without fear of being spotted and ultimately robbed of their watches, sunglasses, wallets etc.

The dirty camo look they've gone for will blend in seamlessly with the squalid surroundings of the southern Italian City.

thanks for the mention

1) So all borussia did, was work years to beat bayern in a supercup ? Lets forget both titles, who tell so much more then. (wierd answer he gave there).

2) Internationalisation, thats cute. What a $#@!y idiot. What did napoli win in the recent years ? Oh, they HAD cavani, participated in the CL without going very far, and got second in the serie a. Oh, they won a cup. One cup.
Yes, that is stuff for the legends.

Bunch of pathetic idiots they are. If you want to go international, you need to give those people a reason to give a damn. History, glory, recent glory.
All napoli did, was win a title so long ago, arsenal have won a trophee since.

Juventus, Milan and inter, will be far more interesting for them, since they actually have some prestigue. One won a truckload of titles won unbeaten serie a, back to back champions, one won most international trophee's in the world, and the latter won a trebble

Yeah, that italian coppa, that will do so much compared to that.
Higuain is more well known internationally than Cavani simply because he played for Madrid.Sometimes top players draws you towards the club.It happened to us as well.

And history ? What history do City,PSG or Monaco have ? You'll soon see plenty of gloryhunters appearing cheering for these teams. Its not always the history that matters. If you continue strengthening your team and continue being relevant in terms of the CL as well as the league, you're always going to find fans.No doubt about it.We could see a shift of power in Italy here from the Milan clubs to Napoli and ADL is simply exploiting the bad financial situation of both Milan teams.

They would've done extremely well if they cement themselves as a Top 3 Italian team. And ofcourse this 'internationalisation' takes time.It wont happen overnight and a lot depends on success too.

How good is Mertens?
He reminds me of "giaccherini, with decent dribbeling on the flanks, and a nice cross".
But qualitywise, he's between juve's giac, and italy's giac.

He's a sub to a belgian NT, that has hazard and de bruyne on the flanks

Are we talking about the same thing here ?

If you say "internationalisation", i'm thinking increasing profile over the borders, getting more fans, and thus more revenue. Raising awareness for players, is usually done by winning stuff and the wage.

Athletico, good example. Attractive to players, having had aguero and falcao. Winning stuff, such as two euroleagues and a coppa. cemented in the spanish top 3-5 aswel.
But how many fans do they have ? they'll always be in the shadow of madrid, fagcelona and valencia.

City, Psg and monaco ? Well first of all they just trow a shitload of cash to get players, and their fans follow with that. can they do promo tours ? sure, they got the stars for it. internationalisation ? sure, got the players for it.
But Napoli isnt a rich team. they now sign higuain, fine. But its not the team those other 3 got. they can buy 3 Higuains per year

Cementing a top in italy, they can definatly do. If they can get a good fanbase in italy, and pounce on the pathetic boards of milan teams, yeah they can.
It has happened before, Genk in belgium is an exampe of a team that suddenly won over an entire region with good football, good brand and 2 good generations of players.
It happened in bigger country's aswel. If Napoli can offer italy competiveness in europe aside from juventus, then hell, it should happen.

You cant compare the difference between Real/Barca and the other Spanish teams and the difference between Juve/Milan/Inter to Napoli purely in terms of the money. The gap in La Liga is insane.Real gets 140m in TV rights alone while Atleti bags a paltry 40m ,now thats a big difference. The gap isnt that big in Italy.
Napoli always had a big fanbase in Italy so being popular in Italy is not a problem. And then you have a large Italian diaspora in the US and in South America where they can initially aim to bring more fans heck they can do the same even in Europe since even the likes of Roma has had a lot of support outside Italy.
You are right, winning is the one that counts and which is what they need as an impetus for their 'internationalisation'.But like its been said,it wont happen overnight but its clear they have a PLAN with all the current strict financial rules into consideration.
What did we have in the olden times ? There was no sustainability.Moratti and Berlusconi were spending from their own pockets and hence are suffering as a result.Napoli for example are working under a completely different environment in an age where sustainability is very important and all this 'planning' i'm sure would've been done on FFP considerations.
Berlusconi wont sell Milan and that Thohir guy aims to build Inter based on the Arsenal model. So i think it was a smart move from Napoli to 'cash in' if you can call it.It was like he was waiting for this opportunity.

The diffrence in management of juventus and napoli, compared to the entire serie a, is just staggering.
Both graduated from the serie b in 2007, beeing in there for diffrent reasons, and both had to settle back to serie a, for diffrent reasons (lolseccomanagement)
Last year, we again became 1 and 2 in the correct order, and the gap between juve&napoli, and the rest of italy was so big, its was downright humiliating.

Juventus, is saving the image of the classic italian heavyweights these days. If we would have gone bankrupt in serie B, then where would serie a be today ?
Having lazio, fiorentina, roma, napoli battle the scudetto ?

I kinda got fed up with the way milan teams are beeing mismanaged, i want a strong serie a, that does well in europe, and not puts shame on the faces of italians.

Napoli got a way to go however. First they should do what my favortite example genk did. Just perform the living shit out of a sector of the country. With good football, a recognisable brand for the region, european campaigns even. Grow there. The big issue will be money.
Napoli cannot do a big transfers on net spending. They'll need to grow and grow domestically, and keep qualifying for cl, whilst running the team of a few stars, but on an as low as possible budget, so they can crank out the neccecary transfers.

Actually in terms of internationalisation, you make a good point there. Juventus and Napoli should definatly look to capture all the italian fans in those regions. What hope can those inter and milan fans have in those regions ? What are they gonna be winning for the foreseeable future ? Whilst juventus and napoli have been at each others troat for the scudetto last and comming years likely.
Napoli has one thing going for it here. you eighter love or hate juve. They can look to pick up the hating kind. With their antijuvents shouting of doing things, it will come natural.

But here i am sitting, thinking i would have preferred 80/90/00'ies milan over this napoli as our main rival. Classy over Scumbag.

Benitez : We are looking for a striker to play the Champions League and the league will have two players of level. We have to find another player who can guarantee a lot of goals.

Assuming Martinez is that guy.It woudnt make much sense to pay 30+m for a bench option does it ? No team nowadays plays with two outright CF's.
