Really like this Lazio team.

They have their couple of star players, but they just have so many good, solid players who know what they are doing.

It's really hard for a team to put them under anything resembling serious pressure, because the Lazio midfield know how to keep the ball and how to position themselves to pick up loose balls around their own penalty area.

They also have players who know how to do incredibly complicated things - like use both feet or how to use their body to protect the ball properly - that an astonishing number of supposedly good players these days can't do.

Inter's 3-4-3 was quite interesting.

Don't think their midfield is strong enough to support a front three that do next to nothing defensively.

Inter deserved the win in end, as they controlled the second half, but the first half was pretty well balanced and Inter could easily have been behind at half time.

Inter's midfield didn't do enough to track Catania's midfield runners, and that caused them a lot of problems since their back three was pretty much fully occupied with Catania's front three (even if Obi was tending to go very deep to pick up Gomez).

Do you like Dias? I think he's quite solid.

Don't forget Siena had -6 points at the beggining, normally they would be also ahead of ACM.
Yeah, I really feel for Siena. Don't want to see them get relegated.

And I like Lazio too. Really solid and likable team. Hope they clinch that second or third spot and move on to CL. Can't see a team more deserving of that.

Anyone disagree with some of the players in this team of the 90's? I mean Zanetti and Desailly? There were so much better RB's and DM's back then. I can't stand how overrated Zanetti has gotten. Solid player but come on. Nowhere near best RB quality.

I'd take Cafu over Zanetti for RB, no doubt. The Boban and Desailly selections are probably due to them being in one of the best sides ever. But forward pairing - goddamn that's lethal.

Incidentally, you wouldn't do bad for a 90s calcio lineup by just picking this:

Haha, that team would kill it nowadays.

But for DM I was thinking of Davids and Deschamps. Both better than Desailly. Boban I don't mind too much, there were too many players to pick from in that position and at that point it becomes a matter of personal taste more than anything.

And yeah, I can't stress enough how ridiculous picking Zanetti is.
