I'm betting the pat-down is a bit more thorough these days.
Due to the fact that they own and operate their own stadium, Juventus' now organise their own security to handle these things rather than relying on the city council to (like every other club in Serie A) The more modern stadiums being built in Italy; the less pyrotechnics and massive banners/flags etc.
Which is a shame really...I used to love watching the crowds in Serie A from the late 80s til up until the early 2000s. Fantastic atmosphere with the flares, drums, banners, flags. Very colourful, added a lot to the games.
Anyway, I love our new stadium. When its full to capacity and in big matches the atmosphere is fantastic. Last night against Chelsea the chanting was
worthy.
