Napoli: 'Super Cup in China or not at all'

Napoli patron Aurelio De Laurentiis has warned “either the Italian Super Cup is in Beijing or we won’t play” against Juventus.

The tournament between the Scudetto holders and the winners of the Coppa Italia traditionally opens the new season.

It has been held in Beijing in recent years, though Juve are complaining it comes too soon after their US tour and would prefer it played in Turin.

“There are no doubts over the fact that either the Italian Super Cup is in Beijing or we won’t play at all,” President De Laurentiis told Radio Marte.

Possible dates for the match are August 11 or August 18.

“I will meet Walter Mazzarri on Thursday morning, as first I have a few cinema-related work commitments that are keeping me occupied.

“We’ll discuss next season, as there are many things to plan out.”
