I disagree. If anything, Milan's strength lies in their ability to beat the smaller teams regardless of how well they are performing. They are like Manu this season: a generally weak squad (but with 2 or 3 WC players) that is an expert on going on winning streaks in the league against weaker teams. Your key player for such runs is easily nullified by a good defense. Barca are clear favorites regardless of the fitness of the Milan squad.

The fact is that only one team were able to stop Barsa during the last two CL's and it was Inter. And all of us remember how they have done it. Espescially in the second decisive match. It was like 11 players defending their net with their bodys. Is Milan in the proper condition to perform like that? I guess not. And their arrogance and self-dignity will not allow them to seet in defenc. Otherwise in case of playing with Barsa in open football Milan will be doomed.

yes, Fred, I am serious - if you look at the players Milan has, separately, they may not seem much but as a team, as a tactical unit they are the toughest opponent Barca can have and Milan's chances to go thru are at least as good.
We played two games earlier this year - for the one at the Camp Nou Milan was still struggling to find a half-decent flow to their game as they had a very slow start to the season, which was evident in Serie A too.
In the second game, had it not been for a gift of a PK, which changed the momentum of the game exactly when Milan was controlling the play, and a rather uncharacteristic mistake by Nesta for the 3rd goal, Milan could well have won the game.

So, yeah, I do know well what I am talking about when I say that with a full starting 11, and match-fit, Milan has a better chance to make it thru than Barca ... and Pep knows it well too ;).

And, for the ones who missed the obvious - having a starter back doesn't count for much if they haven't played in 2-3 months i.e. not "match-fit", which is the case with Boateng, Nesta, and even Seedorf now, on top of missing TS, MvB, and likely Abate too, with Robinho not having played for several weeks too now. Look at it this way - if you take Pique, Alves and Xavi away from Barca's starting 11, while Iniesta is just coming back from a 3-month long injury layoff, who in their right mind would say they have a shot vs a Milan team virtually at full strength?

So, yeah, Milan's chances of going thru have been compromised to extent with all the missing/not match-fit players but even then Barca will not have an easy way thru ... you will see what I mean on Wed ;) ... in the mean time, you guys laugh as much as you want thinking that the the Milan from the 1st half in London vs Arsenal is the real Milan :klin:
Its too bad your team is plagued by injury, i'd have rather all your players were fit, so that you have no excuse when they give you a drubbing at the Camp Nou :D

Its an unfortunate fact, but nobody can stop Barca and Real this season.

I could bet my house that even if Barca were missing Pique, Xavi and Sanchez, they would still make it through to the next round easily.
Milan is just no match to them, this milan team struggle to keep possession against Juve, imagine how they'll look against Barcelona, as for acmilan, he's delusional if he thinks that Milan has the slightest chance to go through, in the first leg in the groups round they were dominated and Barca missed the easiest chances and they got lucky to score the equaliser from a corner in the last minutes.
In the return leg, Pep trolled Allegri playing a defence of Abidal-Masché-Busquets-Puyol and they made look so easy to score every time they felt like to do

you joke, but I've heard milan fans actually use that excuse way too many times, with a serious face...
nah, I am sure they were kidding - joking while keeping one's face straight is an art in itself :)
