Ecxactly; and people get angry with me, when I say the defenders today are not the same as 10-15 years ago.
I don't like to compare football now with the old days, but people keep doing that, saying Messi and Ronaldo are the best of all time. Then I have to start a discussion. I see it this way; today it's more (if not all) about athletism and speed and that's the "easy way", if you know what I mean. You can find athletism and speed within shitty amateur football, but they all suck when it actually come to playing football.
I get so annoyed at the messi and ronaldo fanboys. There's no doubt that they are both quality players but they play in a league where defending is almost frowned upon. I want to see them here in Serie A where they get whole teams defending against them as a unit instead of just a one on one against a hack

Agree with your sentiments there. Then again, players like Ibra and Di Natale are scoring almost at will in Serie A

Ibra is a brilliant striker, even if he looks like a camel/pelican mutant, he's one of those rare players that is tall and physical yet technically sound and good with the ball at his feet. I think he would/could score anywhere. Perhaps Di Natale is underrated then, however he is old and it took him many years to become this consistent. if you watch him play he scores due to his movement and understanding of the player around him. Take him out of Serie A (or Udinese) i don't think he's have the same impact.

Poor Filippo he is really paying for supporting Inter. Did you see the banner Juve fans had yesterday?
Filippo stai a casa studia, e fa il bravo bambino a scuola non si vince a tavolino. Not sure exactly what it means but the poor lad is hoping for this season to end as quickly as possible. Maybe the boys at school tease him because he might have taunted them when they won the treble.

Fuck Fillipo and all inter fans. A have heard some of them telling that we all need a strong Serie A in purpose to strieghten Italian football in Europe. Some of them said that they'd sincerely wished good luck to Juve and hoped it became a competitive promptly, but I have never seen at least one Inter fan who confess that all their success is totally consequence of calciopoli made by them. Fuuuccckkk. They all were stubbornly sure that Inter deserved it all and struggled by themself.
But Fillipo is really poor boy. Because he became an Inter fan in the era of success, but now he is doomed to be a witness of their fails for ages !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is such bullshit.

I do agree with you about how football is easier these days than 10 years ago for example, but that includes Serie A.

I have a feeling Milan will drop points against Cagliari next week.

But I have a feeling Ranieri would fuck up so bad against Milan in week 37.

You don't believe that i hope.
Messi and Ronaldo wouldn't find it easy in Serie A.

They'd still be good, but not scoring as many as they are in the Mickey Mouse league. Even Fred won't deny that.

Messi and Ronaldo would shit in front of Barzagli and Chiellini  :D

I agree with the bolded part but I'm serious, I'm not here preaching that Serie A is better than EPL or La Liga, but the philosophy of Serie A is very different to other leagues, Attacking players simply don't get the time that they would in spain and in Italy the majority of the team is required to defend as a unit, that doesn't happen in other leagues. Messi especially hasn't had to put up with that on a weekly basis.

When you have Di Natale scoring 25+ goals a season, you can't tell me that Messi and Ronaldo wouldn't score as much if not more than that. I think you guys are resisting change, the Serie A used to be the toughest league in the world a few years ago, now not so much. We saw the likes of Milan and Napoli and how poor their defenses are in the CL.

Messi and Ronaldo would tear Serie A defenses apart. The same teams that Ibra is raping, Messi and Ronaldo would terrorize, mutilate, and annihilate. They may not score as many goals as they do in La Figa, but they'd definitely get 27+ goals per season easy.
