Ranieri: 'A great advert for football'
By Football Italia staff

Claudio Ranieri admits Inter’s defence needs some work, but their 4-4 with Palermo was “a great advert for football.”

Diego Milito scored four goals and Fabrizio Miccoli responded with a hat-trick in tonight’s thriller under the snow at San Siro.

“It was a very spectacular encounter and I want to thank all those who allowed the game to go ahead with their hard work. I think the match repaid them for their efforts,” said the Coach.

“It’s a shame to emerge from this with a draw, although it is the right result considering how many chances were created by both sides. It was a great advert for football.

“I think Milito must be one of the few players in the world who scored four goals and still failed to win a game.”

Wesley Sneijder started in the trequartista role, but after half an hour was moved wide left in a 4-4-2.

“I saw all three strikers fail to come back and help out in Lecce. I put Wesley wide left because Munoz was not pushing forward in attack. He played well and did some important things, but can still improve.

“Walter Samuel was not 100 per cent fit, so he needed a rest. Obviously we made a few mistakes in defence, but I don’t feel like accusing anyone.”

Ranieri had declared on Sunday night that Thiago Motta would not be sold, but he joined Paris Saint-Germain on Monday.

“I wanted to keep him, because I think no other player in our squad has his characteristics. I tried, but he was determined to leave and insisted his time here was done, so we made him happy.

“We’ve brought in players like Fredy Guarin and Angelo Palombo, so I doubt we’ve become weaker.”

A guy wrote this on Osman's fav. forums. Think he is a Juve fan.

Ok banter and hatred aside, the Ranieri cycle is as follows. He will play a solid 4-4-2 with slight variations. Expect versatile players like Nagatomo, Maicon and Zanetti to be fielded in different positions all over the pitch (Salihamidzic). Expect squad rotations, and players getting rested from time to time. Expect him to throw out a 2 or 3 youngsters whom he trusts. Expect them to be tried out in different positions. Expect a few impressive results, even to the extent of punching above your own weight (9 wins in a row in 2009 including Home and Away wins vs. Real Madrid, not to mention 20 undefeated games with Roma). After the team reaches it’s maximum potential, expect them to start choking when it really matters (Roma 1-2 Sampdoria ending their streak). Expect some players, although tested in positions which they’re weak at…to continue to play in those weak positions. Expect the high confidence to suddenly dwindle, eventually leading to everything he’s built to crumble down. Now the smart move? Hiring Ranieri’s successor...

Lol as if drawing 4-4 was a good thing. He is just lucky Milito is in form cuz Inter sucks. It is funny how Moratti took the champions league winning Inter and turned it into this. He destroyed it's identity with a carousel of horrible coaches with totally different ideas. You think they would have been better off if they just had no coach and said "We should do what Jose told us to do"

Mazzarri: 'Ref robbed Napoli'
By Football Italia staff

Walter Mazzarri was furious with the referee after a 0-0 draw with Cesena. “I am sick and tired of this, as we lost two points due to the official.”

Napoli were held at the San Paolo, as Goran Pandev’s goal was disallowed in stoppages for reasons that remain unclear. He was not offside and replays suggest Christian Maggio provided the assist with his chest rather than an arm.

“The goal is absolutely and totally clear,” blasted Mazzarri. “I am sick and tired of this, as we lost another two points today due to the official and his behaviour.

“The referee had a terrible game and made many mistakes against us. He had a huge effect on the match, preventing us from getting the deserved victory.

“Other than the goal, there were some incorrect offside decisions and the referee didn’t send off a Cesena player for using his elbow.

“Up until now we have stayed silent, but we can’t keep pretending that nothing is happening. In the last three rounds we have been robbed of at least five points. I am tired and my patience is at an end.”
Someone needs to send him a "YOU MAD?!" gif :D

De Laurentiis was crying endlessly at Mediaset, and Zlatan was waiting in Rome to speak, journalist asked him to just wait till De Laurentiis finished.

He never finished and just went on and on, Zlatan said "This is impossible, come on" and left
VIDEO NOW PLEASE

Total shithead moves. Now it seems they buy random players with no real plan. I think Wesley is the only real hope they have and he is probably gone in the summer. Know them they will buy the next Recoba to fill his shoes.

It's not like keeping Sneijder will help them anyways. Not the way Ranieri plays him

The best hope they have is keeping him and losing Ranieri. Like even if they cant get Jose back I could see a coach like Spalletti building a decent team. My hope is they extend the contracts of Lucio, Stank and some other trash and keep Ranieri. lol that would be too good!

The worst coach we ever had.

He was the one who took the Juve-spirit away, not Ferrara, not Zach, not Del Neri. It was his loser mentality that started our downward spiral. A coward and a fucking asshole is what he is. Perfect for merda.
you obviously have no clue what you are talking about...

we were second when he got the chopp, not exactly a downward direction

Ranieri destroyed Juve. That's why I hate him more than Delneri, despite the Delneri-season being our worst in terms of results. The damage had already been done.
In reality it was Ferrara's horrid results that really destroyed the Juve mentality. Ranieri was simply guilty of too many draws, Ferrara's results following the initial honeymoon period were a complete embarrassment.

Ferrara was not the right man for the job at that particular time. But I don't think you and some others understand what it is exactly I'm referring to when it comes to Ranieri. I'm not talking about results only. Did you follow press conferences at that time? Did you see the sort of substitutions he made? Did you see the tactics he employed? Obviously not.

And do you remember how he, when he had the chance to influence transfers, blocked the Xabi Alonso transfer and begged Secco to get Poulsen instead? His request for the Iaquintas and Momos of this world? You have to understand that Ranieri is a ballsucker, and he loves cock in the anal hole. And tonight, like so many other nights, he got it.

Ranieri magic:

- Lecce's first home win in serie A this season came last week against Inter.
- Before tonight, Palermo scored only 2 goals on 10 away matches this season. Tonight they scored 4 against Inter

Can't wait for the next special from Ranieri :weee:

Next match is going to be epic. Ranieri VS Enrique. I think it will end 5-5.
