He had his moments of cowardice but the "Juve spirit" was propped up, in his time, by the so-called "Old Guard."

Ferrara was just inexperienced, and Zaccheroni took over a floundering outfit (and he's an idiot).

It was Del Neri who murdered the "Juve spirit." Mr. "The Jeers Will Turn Into Applause."
No, it was Ranieri. Mr. make a sub to salvage the draw. Mr. top 4 is a good achievement.

Delneri, yes, he wasn't Juve-material at all, but we all knew that before he was even hired! When he came to the club, Juve had already been made into pussies. That transformation, happened under Ranieri. It's a fact.

Delneri, is that you?

Allegri: 'Defeat healthy for Milan'
By Football Italia staff

Massimiliano Allegri admits Milan played “a terrible game, but the defeat to Lazio can do us good.”

The Rossoneri could’ve gone top after Juve’s match with Parma was snowed off last night, but they fell 2-0 at the Olimpico instead.

“We played a terrible game against a team that did not allow us much, but this is not giving the all-clear to Juventus,” said the Coach.

“The campaign is still long and there will be time to discuss these things. I believe the defeat can do us good and help us to grow.

“Lately, despite winning, we haven’t had the same grit that we need to win the Scudetto. This is why I believe the defeat can be healthy.”

The result did show a definite trend this season, as Milan have lost to all the big clubs: Juventus, Napoli, Lazio and Inter.

“Unfortunately these are the statistics and so we have to improve our mentality when playing against the top teams. It’s not that we work less harder, but we do have a different mental attitude compared to other games.”

There was controversy, though, as Stephen El Shaarawy wanted a penalty for an Andre Dias handling offence, but it’s unclear why the linesman advised the referee against it.

“I believe he said it was El Shaarawy’s handling offence and not the Lazio defender. He changed the referee’s mind, as the penalty had originally been given.”

Replays show that Dias punched the ball off El Shaarawy’s chest.

Did Ranieri say that Sneijder did good but there is still space for improvement in his game? Sneijder? It's like he's talking about Obi or Immobile, not a guy who led his team to CL and almost won a WC.

Ranieri was tasked with getting us competitive again, and he partially accomplished that, with CL football through a third and second place finish. How much was he responsible for? How was were the "Old Guard" responsible for? It's tough to say. Sure he had his negative moments, but they were absolutely nothing in comparison to Del Neri.

It doesn't matter what we knew of Del Neri before he got appointed. It doesn't matter if everyone but the people actually in charge of putting him in control of the team knew of his limitations.

What matters is what he did while in charge. This guy's absolute loser/mid-table mediocrity bled all over the club. He stifled the atmosphere around it, in fact, and solidified us as a laughingstock that season. Whether it was from his ludicrous comments to the media (excusing horrendous performances on the pitch or refusing to take any of the blame for results), refusing to resign in honourable fashion, or breaking all sorts of negative records, this guy was a rapist and murderer of clubs.

De Laurentiis was crying endlessly at Mediaset, and Zlatan was waiting in Rome to speak, journalist asked him to just wait till De Laurentiis finished.

He never finished and just went on and on, Zlatan said "This is impossible, come on" and left

Look, I know what I saw during the Ranieri-era. Little by little, week by week, the Juve spirit faded away.

I'm not giving Delneri any credit whatsoever, because he was a horrible coach who never should've been hired in the first place.

My point is simply this: Our "fall" from being Juve was a lot bigger under Ranieri than it was under Delneri. When Delneri came to the club, we fell further, yes, but we had been slipping for a long time. By the time Delneri came to the club, we were no longer in contention for titles, we were no longer feared, we had been turned into a team full of pussies. That trend started under Ranieri.
