You seem to forget they had Henry, Ribery, Makelele, Vieria etc.
Henry had a poor World cup, the other 2 are defensive minded players just like Baresi and Maldini when Baggio played. It's not like he played for Peru.

You also seem to forget that the french were horrible that world cup and had a shit coach, if it wasn't for Zidane they probably wouldn't have made it out of the group.

He single handedly disposed of Brazil and Spain, and also scored against Portugal and Italy. So he, directly put his team past the round of 16, then past the quarter finals and not content with that put them in the final too. Which he could have won if it wasn't for a brainfart.

But then again Baggio chocked in the final.

And we judge people based on their opinions.

It might as well be your opinion that Cristiano Zanetti is as good as Xavi but only because that's your opinion doesn't make it look less ridiculous.
Well, if you would go outside Juve forum, I think my opinion would not be so ridiculous anymore in fact there is a big possibility that it would be the other way around.

Henry scored against Brazil not ZZ, so he didn't ''single handedly dispose of Brazil & Spain'' like you claim.

Baggio didn't choke, he shouldn't have been on the pitch to begin with, he clearly wasn't fit, let alone playing for 120 mins in searing heat. Baresi & Massaro had done the damage even before he stepped up to take the last pen.

Who assisted Henry? He schooled the brazilians that day.

Sorry but I won't keep humouring you, saying that Baggio is better than Del Piero might/could be true, but Zidane is clearly the superior player.

Who said he wasn't? In my view you can't really compare them, they play 2 different positions, apples and oranges.

That's because ZZ is the G.O.A.T.
