-----------------------------Handanovic
----------------------Barzagli---Nesta---T.Silva
-----------Lichsteiner---Marchisio----Pirlo----De Rossi----Armero
------------------------Di Natale---Ibrahimovic

My pick.
I'd shove Maggio in over Lichsteiner as for the system you're putting forward Maggio is far far better suited, although Lichsteiner didn't do too bad the other day vs Udinese, then I'd love to be able to swap Pirlo out but his perfect passing amongst a team full of willing runners (minus Ibra) and you've got a winning tactic. The setup is for Di Natale to be Capo Cannoniere with Marchisio and Armero with a good 10+ goals each, with De Rossi as the box to box destroyer/creator and definitely Nesta as captain. The man never shuts up, but all that experience you know he's only shouting sense.

As for Handanovic, definitely however Buffon a very close second.

They would have if they didnt arse lick Napoli's Cavani.
:D

Nah I definitely believe the hype around Napoli is at the highest for 20 years. I can't understand why someone that would have presumably watched a lot of Serie A matches, decided to put Cavani in the team instead of Zlatan or Di Natale. It would have been understandable for someone else who just watches one or two Serie A games a year.

Most of this stuff is bullshit anyway, "best XI" "top 100 players". I recently saw a fourfourtwo list of the top 100 players and I kept thinking of the word "WRONG" for a lot of players.

Busquets was 17th ffs.

Pato is a fag but he would be great for us.
Always injured.

Personally I wouldn't buy him. I don't rate that guy as much as some.
People don't seem to realise that Pato is basically just a goalscorer - and a rather good one at that.

Because he's Brazilian and incredibly fast, they seem to think it's okay to let him roam around deep or play wide, which is a total waste because it keeps him out of goalscoring positions and exposes his lack of intelligence and indifferent technique.

Pato is basically like a young Michael Owen.

Yeah, that's actually a very good comparison, pretty much spot on.

And I liked Owen back in the days but I don't know, I don't think he's a player that can be relied on to solve matches. I just don't see him at the highest level, he doesn't add much to a team IMO.
