Napoli suffer Pandev blow
There are whispers circulating that Napoli could be without Goran Pandev for the next two months because of injury.

The striker picked up a problem on international duty with Macedonia that could be a devastating blow to the Azzurri.

It’s feared that the former Inter player has picked up a muscle problem in his right thigh that may see him sidelined for up to eight weeks.

The 28-year-old has made five League appearances for the Stadio San Paolo outfit so far this term

Napoli have very poor depth upfront. If Cavani is out for more than 4-5 games they can kiss the scudetto goodbye. But if they manage to get another player upfront and a top left midfielder and centre back they will be extremely competitive, probably best team in Italy. I'd say it's about even right now between Napoli, Juve and Milan without injured players.

Overall teams in Italy are not well balanced. There is not a single team with quality across the entire park like some La Liga and EPL teams

I'd say Juve, Milan, Napoli & Inter are probably all about 2-4 players away from being pretty well balanced.

Juve - LB, CB, Pirlo backup, top class foward/winger
Milan - 2 CMs/DMs and LB
Napoli - FWD, CB, LM
Inter - CB, FWD & :boh:

I'd like to see all these teams with these players for a competitive Serie A but of course Juve must always win :D

Agreed. They all need to become more competitive meaning Juve can be more competitive in Europe when they're finally back in it.

De Rossi could leave for free
Daniele De Rossi has refused to rule out the possibility of leaving Roma on a free transfer next summer. “It depends.”

The midfielder is only tied to the Giallorossi until June 2012 and negotiations over a renewal are proving to be problematic.

“This is certainly a matter that should have been resolved earlier,” the Roman said from Italy’s Coverciano training base on Wednesday.

“Things have stalled right now and we are studying the matter, but we’ll certainly find a solution, in one way or another, that suits everyone.

“Could I leave on a Bosman? It depends on the contract and if we reach an agreement.

“I have never put pressure on Roma and I never will as that would affect my relationship with the club.”

De Rossi has spent his entire career at the Stadio Olimpico and he hopes to continue his Giallorossi adventure.

“I want to play in Italy for five more years, then I would consider playing my football outside of the peninsula,” he added.

“I’m attracted by the idea of playing abroad. I’m thinking of Japan, China, America, it would be a good life experience.

“Another Italian club? I can’t imagine that because I have always played for Roma.”

Should De Rossi not sign a new deal then he is expected to be targeted by Real Madrid and Manchester City amongst others.

De rossi on a free next summer, anyone? :klin:
