Wow, Sampdoria

Then again, I guess they wanted to get rid of their wages. It's still funny how they were preparing for CL this time last year and with a couple of idiotic moves they found themselves in B losing all their best 5-6 players for peanuts.

Funny how things go and how fine the line is at times.

If Samp had held out another minute against Werder, they would have gone into the CL group, kept their players (probably) and not got relegated.

Who could have known the fall would be so big and so fast?

Cronios thinks Gasperini is a good coach now and only because Inter got him :lol2:

Every time I think he's come up with the funniest thing ever, he surprises me and comes up with something new.

Samp seem to be a bit miffed about this one.

Some suggestion that Napoli had given some assurances that they wouldn't bid for him, so Samp didn't bid either.

If neither had bid, he would have stayed at Samp.
I've read that, but I've also read that instead of offering 0, Samp just didn't submit an offer, so he automatically went to the other club for the minimum fee. Possibly another fuck up.

Chester, he's good, but Juve only paid 4.5m for Storari, and Juve weren't buying from a team that had just been relegated.

It's probably just Bologna trying to show their fans they determined to make up for the Viviano fuck up.

Can be, don't matter to me, as log as he keeps playing on the highest level, it is good for our NT, that is what matters for me.

I think there's a chance that Serie A could be turning the corner and becoming a really top league again. Merda have had a series of good mercatto's the last few seasons, Milan caught up last season and purchased some quality and this year and it sounds as if they will only strengthen now, it looks like we will take the quality over quantity approach (hopefully) and if Roma can attract some good players and Napoli don't loose too many players we could have as much as 5 teams of quality players fighting for 3 CL spots. Hopefully a great season on the horizon.

I see there is something on Gazzetta's front page about Albertini blocking the move back to allowing two non-EU signings per season

Can't find the article, though, to get the details.
