I don't know what people in Italy think of him.

After all, he did well with Chievo and Samp.

Also convincingly knocked Inter out of the Coppa Italia in 2009, so it's entirely possible Inter fans will have thought he was a far from terrible coach.
Chievo achievement was decent, nothing special. He failed much more, though.

Then again, there are some brain damaged people, can't blame those.

It's quite simple: he's a good coach for midtable or lower sides (Chievo, Samp, Atalanta), but doesn't have what it takes to be a manager of a club with higher aspirations (Juve, Roma, Porto).

    Doesn't mean he's a terrible coach.

So why would any Inter fan think he'd do great at a top club (Juve) when he failed to deliver at the same (Porto, Roma)?

I'm looking from Juventus perspective, where the right description would be - terrible. I'm not a Chievo fan to say he's decent, or Samp fan to say he's good.

Because you'll get a fair amount of people who won't break it down like that or will just judge folk on their most recent job or results against the team they support.

Bologna error hands Viviano to Inter?
It’s reported Inter have won their blind auction for Emiliano Viviano because Bologna made an amazing mistake in their paperwork.

The two clubs share ownership of the goalkeeper and failed to reach an agreement before yesterday’s deadline.

This means it’ll go to a blind auction – both sides place a figure into a sealed envelope and the highest bid wins when they are opened at 10.00 UK time this morning.

However, strong reports are emerging that Bologna lost the auction because they made a terrible mistake in the paperwork.

It’s claimed Bologna director general Stefano Pedrelli wrote in the wrong section of the bid form.

He also wrote in the wrong figure, assuming their bid for half the player’s worth (€4.7m) was split across the form.

Therefore Bologna’s offer came out as only €2.35m.

Inter are reported to have bid €4.1m, so it looks as if they have won the auction thanks purely to Bologna’s mistakes in the paperwork.

If this is true, then it’s an error with repercussions well beyond Italy goalkeeper Viviano.

If Bologna had won the auction, they already had a deal to sell the Azzurri star to Roma.

Samp seem to be a bit miffed about this one.

Some suggestion that Napoli had given some assurances that they wouldn't bid for him, so Samp didn't bid either.

If neither had bid, he would have stayed at Samp.

They are suggesting that the Viviano error was an oversight due to being in a rush just before the deadline.

Maybe they filled the Ekdal one in earlier?
