Lol I know what sparked the initial Roma hype, but it was minor stuff, and it was from the typical few posters who ALLWAYS go with the "grass is greener on the other side" attitude, meaning pretty much every summer praise some random decent Serie A teams mercato, in a weird way to show dissatisfaction with ours. Seen it claimed with Genoa, Napoli, Milan (most consistently with Milan) and this summer yes Roma (some hype was understandable, they signed some decent young talents, plus Kjaer

). But besides few frantic praise here or there from one or two posters, I havent noticed any serious overrating of their mercato at all. It just seems like it just another horse to beat to death with you guys (I would get if it was to continue to Dusan jokes, but seriously hold it against Roma is bit weird, critique wise).
But in overall, it should been obvious from the get go this Roma project is a long term one. Far from one geared for some success (meaning CL spot), considering its been too many changes plus hiring a very questionable coach in LE (our appointment of Conte was quite questionable too, but so far looks good).
