Roma president Rosella Sensi has laughed off Juventus' chances of winning trophies, telling them they will need "years" not months before becoming successful.
Her message added to the pain of Juve's 2-0 Coppa Italia quarter-final loss to Roma on Thursday.
The Bianconeri were brushed aside, and with that, saw hopes of silverware dashed. And despite internal structural changes, Sensi believes the foundations at Vinovo are far from stable, leaving them unprepared to challenge for glory.
"We won against a great team. I have great respect towards Andrea Agnelli [the Juventus president], but to win they need years.
"They have to work on people, not just professionals."
And there were sweetners for coach Claudio Ranieri, whose future has been questioned in light of the expected takeover of the club.
"Ranieri is a great guy, and the satisfaction comes from the choices we have made, starting from the coach," she said.
