not a wiki fan. this info came up many times during the WC. He is a German in every sense of the word i.e. he is a EU-eligible player. He opted to play for ghana's NT because he was left out of the German NT and would have thus missed the WC.
Do yourself a favour and stop posting. Everyone knows Boateng is non EU. It was all over the news when Milan loaned him from Berlusconi's sheep team Genoa

he didn't give up his German citizenship ... he simply opted to play for Ghana because he was left out of German's senior NT.
Dual citizenship allows for that.
Get a translator or something

He was allowed to switch citizenship. SWITCH is the key word.

Kevin fucking Prince Boateng is a non-EU player that was brought to Milan in a filthy way.

Now stop wasting my time and enjoy the match.

Genoa president Enrico Preziosi told Corriere dello Sport that he did not expect Boateng to play for his club.
"Genoa were following Boateng before the 2010 World Cup in South Africa," he said. "It was a good shop window for him, but one cannot rely on a World Cup alone.
"Milan have an unusual situation, as they have many players in the last year of their contracts and are keeping an eye on the balance sheet.
"Instead we had more of an opportunity to move for Boateng. For now he is joining the Rossoneri on loan.

So they bought him for AC Milan.

Dirty dealings.
