All true.
--------------
Here's a deeper comparison which includes all the other post-Calciopoli seasons.

2007/08 --- 26 points (7-5-2 -- 29:13) 3rd place, 5 pts behind the leaders Inter and Roma.
2008/09 --- 27 points (8-3-3 -- 21:9) sharing 2nd place, 6 pts behind the leaders Inter.
2009/10 --- 27 points (8-3-3 -- 26:15) 3rd place, 8 pts behind the leaders Inter.
2010/11 --- 24 points (6-6-2 -- 26:14) sharing 3rd place, 6 pts behind the leaders Milan
--------------
Looking at the numbers, we're having more or less the same start of the season in all 4 years. We're top 3 all the time, we're 5-8 pts behind the leaders and we have between 24-27 points. Still, this particular season is our worst points wise and the goal difference is what keeps us in top 3, unlike the previous three seasons when we were clear in the top 3.
Yep, our starts were better in the previous seasons - but I tend to think there's more of a solid feel to the team this time around - well find out soon ;)

So there will be no negotiations to convince the players to call the strike off?!
Dunno. I guess (& hope) they'll still try to negotiate. We'll see.

Not only due to the current situation, but isn't it amazing though how everyone involved in Calcio (clubs, FIGC, players, fans) is doing their best to harm the league?
And this in a league that has been going down the drain for a few years already.

Napoli players Ezequiel Lavezzi, Andrea Dossena and Hugo Campagnaro fined for a champagne fuelled night before trip to Udinese (they subsequently lost) although apparently Dossena left restaurant before midnight, the other two went clubbing

Good news, hopefully they will become Adrianos.

good article regarding the europa league and the italian teams,

personally? serie a will be finished as a respected league within 4 years. The good players will no longer want to come here and seeing how Italian teams dont take the europa league seriously, I cant see them getting the fourth spot back. Instead I see the french taking over too

No, they are in action. This is the new Serie A. And same points for victories in CL and EL is what's killing Italy.

serie a, have had juve, roma and ac milan in the uefa cup/europa league these past couple of years. Is it really an excuse for them to flop so badly in them?

everyone has the same rules, italian teams are arrogant, and becomes of there arrogance there gonna decline BIG time.

Remember Ajax? Kiev? We'll be having the same fate soon its only a matter of time
