Anybody else find it funny how we are the top scoring team in the league but two of our strikers are underperforming horribly and we have struggled to create clear cut opportunities in the last couple of games. While Inter have the best defensive in record in the league but on the pitch their backline looks clueless?

Merda have just started their dip in form, the best is yet to come. As for us, we've been effective in front of goal so far this season maybe not as much as DN's asking for but still I'd say we scored at least half of our clear cut chances so far in the season.

Inter's defensive problems come from the Brazilians being too old to play a World Cup after winning the treble and a lack of Samuel.

I feel bad for Sneijder and Eto'o having to waste a whole year playing for them, they deserve better and I'd love to see them on top of their game. They really tried tonight but with a team like that there wasn't much that could be done.

Even without the stolen scudetti we'd have had 30 scudetti by now if we only kept Zlatan.
You literally buy league titles when you buy Ibrahimovic. The only way Milan not to win it this year is if he gets some 4-5 month injury. As his fan I think he deserves such a rest till April :D
That is so true. :D

Exactly. They were overhyped after signing Zlatan and are being overhyped once again after a 1-0 against a clearly struggling Inter. Brescia would have achieved the same result two rounds ago had it not been for Eto'o's imaginary PK, in fact Brescia had arguably more opportunities and shots on goal than Milan. The Inter defense had just as much trouble dealing with Carraciolo and Diamanti.
Depends on the context you're reading it in. If you're looking at it in the serieA 2010/11 context, then no matter how average the midfield and the defense is, they can still win it.
In Ronaldinho, Pato, Zlatan and Robinho they have so much quality up front, that all they need to do is to put more muscles in midfield and win matches in Italy.

My biggest hope for Milan not to win it is Berlusconi. I hope he won't like the midfield consisted of Gattuso, Ambrosini and Flamini and he'll force Allegri to play an attacking central midfield with Pirlo and Seedorf in it, as he already did 2-3 times this year.

I just think they don't have the legs to make it through the season.

That, and hoping that the Serie A tacticians are gonna know how to lock out Zlatan, Pato and Dinho, frustrate Milan into going all out attack and hit them on the break as we've seen over recent seasons.

Moratti furious with Benitez

Inter President Massimo Moratti has wasted no time in expressing his dissatisfaction with last night's defeat in the Derby della Madonnina.

The Nerazzurri lost 1-0 on the night, succumbing to a goal scored by Zlatan Ibrahimovic from the penalty spot, which inflicted on the treble winners their first loss at home in Serie A since March 2008.

“It doesn't seem to me like we suffered against Milan's play,” Moratti said. “The problem is that we actually didn't play. It's a different thing entirely and much more grave.

“I didn't like anything. One can understand losing a derby, but this time I didn't like the approach or the aftermath.

“We didn't do enough to think about winning. This won't do at all. It was an ugly game and we did nothing because we became different.”
GLORIOUS

Wouldn't it be great if inter miss out on CL. The loss of revenue from that added to the debt they already have, plus the large compensation package for Benitez when he gets sacked :D Oh, so sweet.

They won't miss out though, the league will make sure of that :(
