How can it be a yellow card/ban for simulation which is deemed unprofessional but when a player dives and gets away with it AND when he knows the PK given should not stand yet converts it is not unprofessional?

How can it a dive be any worse than a player that gets away with it and scores?

Krasic gets banned but Eto'o/Milito after tv replays show diving get nothing?

A.) Kyle dives, gets a yellow...that is all.

B.) Deneb dives, replays later show it...gets banned 2 matches.

C.) Mark dives, converts a penalty knowing full well he dove..scores, wins game other team gets demoted...nothing happens even after tv shows/highlights the next day show it, but nothing happens. No point reduction, no ban, fine, or yellow.

D.) Red slips on ball, gets PK out of it...scores instead of telling referee he fell in a moment of honesty.

How is it that Debeb and Kyle get punished for unprofessional acts but Mark and Red don't?

How?

Diamanti: 'Eto'o confessed to me'
Alessandro Diamanti claims Samuel Eto’o confessed “it wasn’t a penalty because he slipped.”

Brescia were leading 1-0 at San Siro last night before Eto’o fell under a Gaetano Berardi challenge for a dubious spot-kick.

“It is an important point for us, even if the Nerazzurri’s equaliser came from a non-existent penalty,” said Diamanti of the 1-1 draw.

“Eto’o told me at the end of the game that he had slipped on the ball and not because of a foul.”

The Cameroon international did not make this 'confession’ to the referee, as he stepped up to convert the spot-kick.

You can view the incident for yourself in the highlights.

“Never mind. We have to focus on our next game against Juventus. We’ll also hold on to this point, as we have been losing matches undeservedly of late.”

So Eto'o new it, took the penatly and scored and tied the game...inevitably changing the entire Serie A table. So which team at the end of the season will go down to Serie B and which one will stay in the first division by a 2 point deficit? That dishonest unprofessionalism changed the way the entire league will end up at the end of the season...who knows, maybe Inter will no win by 2 points this year.

That is bull shit. If a player that dishonest can do that but Krasic gets banned 2 matches then there is something seriously wrong if Inter go unpunished this week as a result. I feel really sorry for Brescia who played with guts and determination the whole game and went for the win. So unfortunate.

Eto'o didn't dive. That's the difference.

exactly what the thread was missing :p

The ref's decision was shocking, but Eto'o didn't try to get a penalty. Had he told the ref that he wasn't fouled, I'd have praised him but he just did what he was supposed to. It's not comparable to Krasic' dive.

Come on take your zebra glasses off for a second. Wait until someone from Inter or some other team intentionally dives and gets a penalty and see if there will be a ban or not. If there will be no ban then let's all rage together. But the whole point of the ban is to stop players from diving and trying to fool the referee. Slipping and not telling about it to the referee, while perhaps unsportsmanlike, isn't the same thing as going down intentionally trying to fool the referee and win a penalty.

I actually meant it as a good thing :D

I didn't see the incident to be honest, so i can't really comment.
