Fred, do you think people overhype De Rossi and hail him for too many reasons he doesn't show on the pitch?

You're the one who's neutral. I'm not asking if he's good, but if he deserves these prises of being one of the best.

Of course, the Azzurri fans grouped immediately after someone dares to say that Motta, Pepe and the other average players in Juve are just average and they'd have never been bought if they weren't Italian.

No, you'd have not heard anyone moaning if we bought the Italian Cassano, the Italian Aquilani, the Italian De Rossi and no-one minds the Italian Buffon or Chiellini.

You do know that I am far from being an Azzurri fan, Alen but at the same time to claim that we will end up in 8th place is just plain rubbish. It's a Croniosolal behaviour at its best.

I don't agree with Dule about De Rossi, i think he has been off form for a couple of years, but i certainly don't agree that he has always been like this or that he's a one season wonder. If you asked me, i'd say De Rossi just needs a new environment, he is still ability wise one of the best midfielders in Europe.

However accusing Dule of being biased against De Rossi because he's Italian is cheap and is a way of avoiding the points he makes. He rates a lot of players that are Italian and that do not deserve to be rated (Motta :D).

    I just saw this.

I think De Rossi when at his best is indeed a brilliant midfielder. I agree with people that say he is one of the most complete midfielders in Europe. He can play a number of roles in midfield, he can sit back and win possession, he can play as a deep lying playmaker and he can be a box to box midfielder.

I think you're being harsh against him, but i don't think you're biased, i just dont agree with yoy.

Exactly. He has been off form for 4 years.

Which season, besides 2006 he showed a lot? Please do tell me.

You think he may need a new environment. You may be right, but you're not even sure about it because you simply can't be. You'd expect somebody of average play to get on the next level where he never really was.

When exactly did Azzurri fans group to say that Pepe was not average? To say that De Rossi is overrated is the most stupid thing I'd heard in a long time. Had his name ended in ic he would have been the best thing ever happened to the world.

I dont agree, he has been off form for the past two seasons, but before that he was quite good iirc. I only remember not being overly impressed by him in the past two years.

I give arguments, you fail to respond in a sensible way.

De Rossi has been average for 4 years. But yeah, defend for the Balkan thing ending with ic

    Ok, then I'm wrong maybe.

For me, he played 3 years ago the same way he does now. Not any difference.

Are you saying that Dusan is biased for Balkan players, and biased against Italian players??

Nice way to avoid his argument, instead of arguing against his points, you can just say he's biased.

I don't even care anymore and even if they reply I won't reply back. I'm done with this, and many other topics.

Refer to me as Jack's user title from now on, Italians.

Just that Dule is the only one who criticized De Rossi and there was absolutely nothing in that critic related to De Rossi's nationality.

But look at the reactions when I said that we're making a mistake by buying average players who'd have definitely not be bought had they been anything else but Italian.

When did a couple of years become four years?

Alen, I actually agree with your sentiment on a couple of our signings in terms of their ability, but I don't see how their nationality is relevant. A national team is a separate entity, it wins, draws and loses as a team under a coach, nothing to do with talent as individuals. People here moaned about Lippi not taking the more talented players, and then in the next breath moan about us signing players that didn't even play under him, great stuff.

Delneri - likes to work with Italian players
Juventus - traditionally has always had a core of Italian players
Likelihood - Juventus under Delneri might buy some Italian players

Did I even quote you there Dusan? It was targeted at Alen who said we wouldn't have wanted Motta or Pepe had their names ended in -sky or whatever.
Maybe I'm blind but I see it combined

Everyone is at least a little bit biased, lets be honest. I see Dusan and other Balkans always speaking in very fond terms of guys from that region, and fans of the Italy team and Juve argue positive points for Italian players when they are dismissed, it's hardly surprising.
