What's wrong with that list :shifty:

Those are the best players that Italy have right now.
Zaccardo, Viviano, Mirante, Ledesma, Gamberini, Antonini, Palladino get the fuck out of here.

I wouldn't pick Thiago Motta personally, as he is a complete prick.

Buffon, Storari, Marchetti, Sirigu

Chiellini, Bonucci, Ranocchia, Bocchetti, Motta, Cassani, Santon, Criscito

De Rossi, Pirlo, Montolivo, Marchisio, Aquilani, Poli, Pepe, Galloppa, Maggio, Candreva, Lazzari

Gilardino, Pazzini, Balotelli, Iaquinta, Cassano, Rossi, Quagliarella

That's the 30 man squad I would pick if fit, but Prandelli is looking at different people, not picking the best squad.

Balotelli? He's not even Italien
Thiago Motta? He's not even Italian
Ledesma, He's not even Italian

Seems like Prandelli will create a dull Fratelli d'Italia anthem, just like Germany's Rainbow nation singing their national anthem.

Thiago Motta will be 30 by the time the next big tournament comes in 2012 and he might not even be good enough anymore in 2014. There is little use of him right now, especially if he takes the place of a much younger Marchisio or some other CM.

As an option to have in the squad he's not too bad and perhaps he can even do what Senna did for Spain. Senna also debuted when he was 30 and played on one tournament where he was great.

But Spain lacked players with Senna's characteristics while Italy doesn't really need Thiago Motta. Good player, which is proven by the fact that he was an important player for a CL winning team, but it might be too late for him.
Lippi should have taken him to SA instead of Gattuso. Now there's little use to play him.
