I will never understand why Benitez is so underrated around these parts. Football fans truly are fickle, you're only as good as your last day.

Benitez has lost the plot off late. Even during the season when they finished 2nd iirc. Maybe the new environment will bring out the best in him. I hope not. He's a very good manager, no doubt about that.

He is stubborn and his tactics are rigid, it's ok when you are winning the odd trophy or having (one) a league challenge, but as soon as that disappears it's not a popular coaching style. I know Liverpool fans who have been annoyed with him for a long time, but many still see him in a good light because of the CL runs.

After you done facepalming, you might start to use your head instead and release we dodged a bullit with D'Agostino, one season wonder as it turned out to be, and its good they turned down our higher prices.

Fiorentina is getting him for that sum because his last season has been like most of his career, average. Not because of better negotiation or whatever.

I wasn't pointing at Secco's negotiating skill , but the way other smaller team always try to rape us in transfer deal is beyond ridiculous lately .
i agree with you about his price went down after his average performance last season but even if he performs well last season and Fiorentina put a bid less than what we did last year , i dare to bet they would accept the bid gladly .
so it doesn't sound like i was moaning at the useless issue there , cheers Osman .

Yeah, we know. Wasn't it more like €7.5m?

Thanks for the correction .

D'Agostino's value crashed in the last season because his form wasn't good enough and there is less demand for him, thus his lower price

in a way thank god they got greedy last summer, looks like we dodged a bullet there

It seems that Inter Milan right-back and Real Madrid target Maicon has changed his mind. The Brazilian international has told reporters in South Africa : "I wish to keep playing for Inter and stay put. Real Madrid's interest in not an issue. .... I would only leave Inter if chairman Massimo Moratti decides to sell me. I want to remain at Inter".
