Many in this forum traditionally disagree with those kind of statements, like the one you made, and I'm regularly "accused" that my Milan hatred makes my opinion regarding Milan invalid, but I am still convinced that being a Milan player is the ONLY reason why Zlatan's ban was reduced.
Yes, even if he played for Inter, he was going to get 3 matches for what he did. Same goes if he played for every other club in serie A bar Milan.
Krasic got 3 match ban for a dive. The appeal was rejected and we were told that it's shameless that we're appealing. Inter's appeals for Etoo's headbutt and Chivu's punch were (rightfully) rejected. Milan's best player though gets an amnesty for what he did.
Lets compare something else now. Zlatan vs Zlatan, or Zlatan in Moggi's Juve vs Zlatan in Berlusconi's Milan:
- In 2005 Juventus' striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic got a 3 match ban for kicking Inter's Ivan Cordoba. Juve appealed and even though I am naturally biased in this case, I must say that 3 match ban was scandalous and it was given to Zlatan only because the third match was the scudetto decider against Milan. Moggi complained that the video evidence was provided by Berlusconi's mediaset and because the foul hardly required a 3 match ban:
"“Cordoba stood on his foot and Ibrahimovic pushed him away,” insisted Moggi. “It was not a violent action and nobody in the stadium even realised it had happened.”
- In 2011 Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic got a 3 match ban for punching from behind in the stomach Bari's Rossi . Milan appealed and the ban was reduced.
This keeps happening but for some reason the spotlight is always on us and Inter. Milan always get away with these decisions.
