Even with Mou when merda was supposedly at their best, they had a pretty solid competition. I wouldn't rule out us nor Roma giving them a headache although I admit it's a long shot.

Exactly (to JBF's post). I mean they did have to go all out for the CL, but losing Mourinho will be a BIG loss and I wouldn't be surprised if Mourinho's boys rebel against Benitez. Plus, will he be able to handle the pressure of Italian football and the media? If they lose Maricon, even better. Juve are supposed to be stronger this season :xfinger: and Roma somehow do well with that squad of theirs. But still, Inter have the bet squad by far.

I remember reading a post from Mark, stating that FIGC will have a meeting today, to decide if the new "EU rule" will be enforce this season or the next.

Does anybody know the outcome of this meeting, if there was one?

Inter lost a lot at the coaching department. But this will only will be proved in europe. The quality gap between them and the rest of the serie A teams is that great, it wont affect them, the new players and coach will give them the ambition to keep winning it.
Roma is a loser team with a loser coach, they will do what they do best, rank second. Berlu needs to sell Milan.
As for poor Juve we might recover Neddy's loss with Krasic this year, but we have such a limited coach, he will try to adapt the team to his views, this process will need time, maybe several season. But we lack the patience to wait and we need results now, thus sacrificing our long term plans, in a futile effort to do just a bit better now. With other words, we are the new Inter, bar the available funds and we prefer Italian, where they prefered international talents.

Benitez will do great in Italy, because defense is valued here and the pieces are already set for him to dominate the years to come. Moratti has finally found the man he wanted to lead his team to victories for the next decade, whilst, the old powers, Juve+Milan are still crippled.
The league as a whole loses prestige, as there is only one great team, by EU standards, but it becomes more compact, as the small teams grow stronger (doria, napoli, palermo) and former glories fade...

Jesus, we have one bad season and now we're a fading glory.

We'll come second this year, close to Inter. Inter are overrated anyway, they still get very favourable decisions in matches etc.

You're overrating Benitez and under rating both Delneri(maybe not) and our team. Benitez has inherited Mourinho's Inter and Mou is 2X the coach Benitez will ever be, especially defensively, there is no way in hell Inter will be better this year than last year and you can quote me on that.

Still, Benitez is a coach who won the league and took Valencia to the CL final. Del Neri is.. yeah.
