They are worse than us a lot.
I don't think they are and certainly not "worse a lot".

Nesta-Silva is a very solid partnership. Last year it was almost on par with Lucio-Samuel. Chiellini-Bonucci has potential, but right now it's certainly not better than Nesta-Silva.
Zambrotta is better than De Ceglie. On RB they have Abate or the Greek dude, and Motta is only attacking wise better than them. Papasthatopolous is 10 times the defender Motta is (although the Greek is too much of a savage for my liking).

In attack Dinho and Pato are great. I doubt our attack is better.

In midfield, no matter what they have and how old it is, how much worse can it be than Juve's midfield?

With Buffon out for half a season, even at GK they aren't worse than us.

Yesterday's team was pretty bad, but not only that they are much behind us in preparations, they also missed 2 important defenders and they missed Pato.

It's just wishful thinking that the current Juve is much better or any better than current Milan.

3:0-3:0 is how much they beat us last year. Their team is the same while ours....well, do you think it's really improved?

Only if Dinho stops playing this Juve will finish above Milan.

Dinho will stop playing, i will be surprised if he finds the motivation to play well this season, now that the WC is gone.

Also, i don't rate Zambrotta at all, and i believe he is even worse than De Ceglie. Yes i would go that far. As for their midfield, they are absolutely atrocious, Gattusso is way past it, and both Sissoko and Melo are better than him imo. Same goes for Ambrosini, but perhaps to a lesser extent, at least he can pass the ball. Marchisio is better than Pirlo right now, who is extremely inconsistent and shit most of the time for the past few years.

Nesta - Thiago Silva, is a very good partnership though, i agree. The front two Pato and Borriello might be on par with Diego, Amauri. Though i would give a small edge to the former partnership being a little bit better.

I agree with everything (except Zambro-DC. Zambro sucks but he's still better), just that I expect Allegri to make some changes in midfield. Instead of slow, technical indeed but always overran midfield, he might go with less technique and better movement.
Maybe Flamini and Abate next to Pirlo. Even Pirlo's flaws could be covered if the other midfielders actually run.

Yup, true.

I wouldn't play Abate though, i don't rate that guy at all, not as a winger, not as a fullback and not as a central midfielder. I think he is a very limited player. Personally i'd play the Flamster too, alongside him i'd play Seedorf if it was weak opposition and i'd play Ambrosini against stronger opposition or away from home.

Milan will have terrible start, after that 2 key players will get injured (one of them most probably Nesta), there will be a lot of pressure on coach during the season and in spring Inzaghi will show up, ending the season on a high note as always. They might have a shot at Champions League if Allegri sorts out his best team, but in the league they will probably finish 3rd or 4th, nothing more, nothing less.
As for Juventus. I think our side is unpredictable. No one knows how the team will look in September 1st and no one knows how it will look on pitch after that. I can see us doing as bad as last season and as decent as in 2008/09.

They might finish in the top four, but that is more due to the lack of quality in the Serie A. You don't know what to expect from the likes of Palermo, Sampdoria, Napoli etc.

Exactly in CL I don' give them chances, Pitbull. Not with this team. They will be destroyed as they were against ManU last year.

Not that I give them any chances to win the scudetto either but they still stand better chances to finish high in Italy than to make past the quarters in CL (quarters will be huge success for this current Milan).

Lets see how the mercato ends first.

They probably won't have a shot at winning CL, but they are experienced side that knows their football and can come up with very decent starting line-up. I somewhat feel that the competition is weaker this year due to Juventus, Liverpool being out of it, RM starting all over again and English team's not being as strong as they were few years ago.

Quarters?

If they get past the second round i will be extremely surprised. Their old players got one year older and their team as a result is worse than it was last season.

Just take a look at the potential pots for the groups Fred.
Milan are group holders and with a little luck they can get teams like Spartak, Zenit etc in the second round.

Of course, they can get a group with Real and Tottenham and they could even be eliminated in the groups, but there are many teams missing in CL this year (Porto, Juve, Liverpool) which automatically makes the groups weaker.

In pot 2 (as things stand right now. Some of these still need to qualify) there are Lyon, Real, Werder, Roma, Shakhtar, Benfica, Valencia and Marseille. In pot 3: Zenit, Panathinaikos, Tottenham, Rangers, Ajax, Schalke, Basel and Anderlecht.

With the exception of Real, none of the others are too scary and if Milan don't get Real in the groups, then they might win the group and get an easy opponent in the 1st knock-out round. If Milan don't win their group then they will probably be eliminated in the next round.

There are no easy opponents for Milan. Even if they win their group, i'd fully expect them to lose to whoever they play against in the second round :p

I really really don't rate them btw.

Fiorentina may have found the replacement for Stevan Jovetic with a bid for Atletico Madrid talent Eduardo Salvio.

The Viola had insisted they would not sign a new player after Jovetic was ruled out for eight months with a devastating knee injury.

However, it’s reported in Tuttosport that director Pantaleo Corvino is in the midst of a swoop for 20-year-old Salvio.

Atletico could well release the Argentine if they manage to sign Tiago Mendes on a permanent basis from Juventus.

Sources from the player’s entourage suggest Salvio will be in Florence over the next two to three days for his medical.

He is a versatile figure who can play as an attacking midfielder or a winger.
