The same half they sold to Genoa for less than 2m, only 10 months ago.
But that's the only way these small clubs can get anything out of it. Why else would they loan a young star from a big club who might be very important to them only to lose him next year so that he either improves the club that owns him or they sell him for big money to someone richer?

It's a fool's trade.

This case is kinda different.
Borriello is 26. Milan have him since 2002.
They were loaning him and calling him back every next season. Last year they decided to keep him and give him playing time, but he's been a disaster and plus he failled a drug test so they decided to sell him.
Genoa bought 1/2 of Borriello. Then this year he finally had a good season and now Milan are paying 10m+player to bring back the guy they've had for 5 years.

I see no logic in this. If he's a youngster, ok, but this guy will hardly be a superstar. He was a timber for many years and he had one solid season.
Don't you think 10m+player for 50% of Borriello is way too much ?

Of course, besides they have no use for him. Why would they take him back at all?

Mancio officially sacked
Thursday 29 May, 2008

Inter have formally dismissed Roberto Mancini as their Coach and insist his sacking was entirely correct, despite reports to the contrary.

Mancio was reportedly fired on Tuesday after a 25-minute meeting with Nerazzurri President Massimo Moratti, but the decision was not made official.

However, a club statement published on the Nerazzurri's website today read: “Internazionale communicates its dismissal of Coach Roberto Mancini.

“In particular because of comments made by Mancini at the end of Inter-Liverpool March 11 2008.”

Doubts over Mancio's future began when he retracted his decision to resign after the Nerazzurri's Champions League defeat to Liverpool in March.

Jose Mourinho was persistently linked with the job, leading some to suggest the Portuguese had been approached.

The Italian Media have speculated that the 44-year-old's sacking was a trifle harsh considering he delivered three Scudetti in a row.

Inter have threatened legal action if any such incorrect reporting continues and are expected to make a formal statement regarding the affair in the next few days.

An earlier club statement read: “What has been written or reported does not correspond to the facts.

“In fact, the meeting was absolutely professional, done in a correct manner, and the Coach never afforded himself to show a lack of respect towards the President.”

Mancini is Inter's second most successful Coach after Helenio Herrera, who also won three Scudetti with the Nerazzurri between 1963 and 1966.

Il Mago also won two European Cups, an achievement Mancini failed to replicate.

Mourinho is expected to be confirmed as Mancini's replacement tomorrow morning and is believed to have been chosen for his European pedigree.

The 45-year-old former Chelsea boss won the Champions League with Porto in 2004.
