"Mancini was also embroiled in scandal when he was allegedly caught on a wiretap talking to Domenico Brescia, a man on trial for drug-trafficking and mafia collusion.

Mancio believes Inter used this as another excuse to dismiss him and has asked lawyer Stefano Gagliardi to take up his case."

Can a tiger change its stripes? no, moratti & his friends found success with wiretapes 2 years ago now they use to blackmail mancini(he should how moratti works these days)

Inter fans have mixed feelings over Mancini sacking

Roberto Mancini's sacking as Inter coach and the expected arrival of Jose Mourinho in his place has been met with a mixed reception by the club's fans.

Inter confirmed Mancini's departure on Thursday, 11 days after he led the side to their third consecutive Serie A title. The announcement followed two days of media speculation that Mancini had been dismissed during a short meeting with club president Massimo Moratti.

"Thank heavens. At least something's happening," wrote a fan with the username Alby 72 on the supporters' website forum. "Bye Mancio. Thanks for everything."

Another fan was even more unsentimental amid reports in the Italian sports press that Mourinho will lure Frank Lampard and Ricardo Carvalho from Chelsea, plus Deco and Samuel Eto'o.

"I'm enjoying myself because we are nearer to the announcement of Mourinho's arrival," said a fan with the username Zlatan Dejan.

"I don't care about anything else."

However, some are worried about a return to the chopping and changing of coaches that distinguished Moratti's spell as Inter president before Mancini's arrival in 2004.

"What does this president do once a winning team has been formed after a decade of being the butt of jokes? He dismantles everything," wrote La Gazetta dello Sport reader Samuele Zingaretti.

The statement confirming the sacking cited the announcement Mancini made after March's defeat by Liverpool in the last 16 of the Champions League, when he said he would quit at the end of the season only to change his mind the next day.

Not really.Im actually happy that he's signed for Sampdoria. This will only help his career more, something that he might have been hard at Juventus right not because of the current forward line.

Im the future perhaps..Cassano might come to Juvents. He's still only 25,and has another 10 add years of his career left.
Ya, it seems Sampdoria suits him. Good for both of them. There were reports that Samp will let Cassano leave for a big Italian club in expensive deal but we will see if anytrhing comes out of it.

Adriano will return and Zlatan will be exchanged by Eto'o.

Carvalho is a possibility but maybe not this season. Samuel will shine with Mourinho, next year Carvalho joins and will replace the ageing Samuel. Inter-wise, sacking Mancini to assign Mourinho is a huge win. Other teams in Serie A-wise, that was the worst nightmare.

So, you guys think there is no truth in what Gazzetta wrote today, that Mourinho asked for 4 players, with Hamsik being the priority and Inler, Hleb and Capel being the other three ?

Because if Inter do buy these 4 players it will be too much to also buy Lampard, Drogba, Eto'o and Quaresma.

I read this news but i don't believe it....moratti wants the champions league and mourinho must impress that fool and win or atleast reach CL final (getting a youngster like hamsik or capel IMO won't do the job). Inter need more experience players for that and definately mourinho knows it.......

Inler and Hleb maybe but I doubt they are going to sign Capel and Hamsik.I think they are going to sign Drogba and Quaresma though.

I don't care who Inter get next season as long as we strengthen. We will eat Inter for breakfast again.
I hope so.
