I hear there is some kinda story behind all this. That it goes way back with Maldini and this particular segment of the Curva Sud. They had a banner that said:

... "no respect for those that made you rich" = the fans?


Anyone know more about this?

I read that some years ago Maldini had a verbal fight with the fans and he even insulted them calling them spoilt kids and mercenaries or something. Those fans never forgave him.
