'No signing is impossible' for Juve

Juventus chief Giovanni Cobolli Gigli claims “no signing is impossible” this summer, but he's keeping his cards close to his chest. The Old Lady look likely to finish second in Serie A this season as Inter have a commanding seven-point advantage. If the Bianconeri are to overhaul their rivals next term they will need to invest heavily in the summer and they have been linked with Diego, Antonio Cassano and David Silva recently. “Jean-Claude Blanc has always stated that our objective is to find a replacement for Pavel Nedved,” Cobolli Gigli told Sky Sport Italia. “Nothing is impossible, but I can't reveal any names. We will balance the books this year thanks to the Champions League, which is important for the future of the club. “It's obvious that there will be some action in the transfer market, but there will be no major departures. “Every club has to find the right balance between income and expenditure.” The Juve supremo concluded by discussing this season's Scudetto race. “We have a 30 per cent chance of winning the title,” he calculated. “We still have a direct confrontation with Inter and even though our chances are quite slim we still believe.”

These people are idiots. Only people who don't know what they're doing make statements like that, a thinly veiled reassurance of them being on top of things. Perez used to say things like this and we used to laugh at him (then again he did actually deliver on those promises). Now our club has sunk to this bad propaganda.

They have been honest about our transfer targets over the last few years. I'm sure they will spend handsomely this summer on 1 player. Than again, we were promised 3 champions coming out of serie b, and alot of ppl were not satisified with how that mercato unfolded.

Totti suffers knee relapse
Friday 27 March, 2009

Roma captain Francesco Totti may not return against Bologna as his knee continues to trouble him.

The talismanic Lupi ace missed out on Roma's big defeat against Juventus, but was aiming to get back in action against the Felsinei.

However, Totti was forced to abandon training after just 20 minutes this morning and his recovery seems to have stalled.

Roma Coach Luciano Spalletti is being plagued by injury woes with a vast number of first-team players missing.

Alberto Aquilani is struggling to get over a knee problem and unsettled Frenchman Jeremy Menez limped out of training after picking up a knock in a five-a-side game.

Spalletti will have to hope that the international break provides time for several players to regain fitness.
