Yep.

But surgery in Belgium?

That's the last the world will be seeing of him. :skull:
I know you're joking, but you do know the connection between Milan and Antwerp, right? Almost all their players get surgery here. Some of my friends met Inzaghi and Maldini doing rehab in a park (I myself couldn't be bothered). And the famous Milan Lab is full of Belgians.

Refs favour Juve, says Baptista

Tuesday 17 March, 2009

Roma forward Julio Baptista has controversially stated that referees in Serie A favour Juventus, as the Giallorossi prepare to face the Bianconeri.

There have been a number of suspect decisions in Inter's favour this term, which have prompted accusations of refereeing bias.

But Baptista seems to feel that officials have also made mistakes that benefit the Old Lady.

“In my opinion this refereeing situation doesn't just involve Inter,” the Brazilian told the Guerin Sportivo.

“I have also seen it happen with Juventus on four different occasions and it has always struck me as incredible.

“I would like to understand one day how these things happen. Against Atalanta the linesman made the wrong decision even though he was right next to the Juventus player.

“I don't think the referees are falsifying the League, but I have never seen things like this in other countries.”

Baptista then discussed Roma's ambitions as they chase Champions League qualification.

“I am certain that we can reach Inter's level,” he said. “Now that we are playing with tranquillity we can fly high.

“It's a shame we had to deal with so many injuries, but if we can get past that then we can finish fourth.”

Roma take on Juventus this weekend and there will be an atmosphere of tension after Baptista's comments.

Besides missing the obvious here...

Well, they certainly wouldn't favor big fat fucks like you, Baptista. Now go back to your shanty team of Sevilla... the only one that seems to be able to use your fat ass. :pado:

The funny thing is that there are always a lot of people playing soccer in the park where Inzaghi and Maldini did their first running exercises. Must have made picking teams a lot more fun.

Too bad it's Milan, not Juventus. Had it been Del Piero I perhaps would have tried to meet him (my mother knows the surgeons).

I don't know about England but how can he say these things are not happening in Spain in favor of two teams?

In no other country do the media and fans magnify the refs errors as much as in Italy though. I think Italian linesmen are among the bests in Europe yet they're being criticized for their bad calls more than their fellows in other countries. I'm watching La Liga every week and there regularly happens lots of bad offside calls but they just let it go. In Italy they largely show the slow motions of bad calls and the media also zoom on these errors excessively. Such inventive "who would top the league if it wasn't any ref's mistake" tables are too Italian and THIS is what you never see in other countries.

The Milan Lab medical team is led by Jean-Pierre Meersseman, and all the surgery and rehab goes with Dr. Marc Martens in Antwerp. This guy treated all Milan players, from Ronaldo to Favalli; two days ago, Abbiatti was there too.
This guy should open a retirement home, he'd make a fortune!

I saw a small piece from Nike Football about their "Boot Camp" program, and I was surprised to see our very own Jens Bangsbo in there! He always reminded me of Dennis Bergkamp.
