Pretty much official: Vargas to Fiorentina. Confirmed by Catania:

L'amministratore delegato del Catania, Pietro Lo Monaco, ha annunciato che il difensore Juan Manuel Vargas e' di fatto un giocatore della Fiorentina. "Fra noi e la Fiorentina c'e' gia' l'accordo e stanotte anche la Fiorentina e il procuratore del giocatore hanno trovato l'intesa", ha dichiarato Lo Monaco. "Nei prossimi giorni Vargas arrivera' a Firenze, si sottoporra' alle visite mediche e sottoscrivera' il nuovo contratto". Il Catania incassa dalla cessione 12 milioni di euro, mentre per Vargas e' pronto un contratto di cinque anni da poco piu' di un milione netto a stagione.

Quaresma joins Inter - report

According to reports in Portugal this evening, Inter have secured the £27m signing of Ricardo Quaresma.
The Nerazzurri have been linked to the Porto star for several years, but made the final step when Jose Mourinho took charge of the team.
Newspaper 'A Bola’ has announced that Quaresma has already agreed terms and the two clubs have reached a deal worth £27m.
A group of Inter directors flew out to Portugal for the crucial negotiations and it could be made official over the weekend.
It is also believed the reason for a delay was Vitor Hugo Gomes Pele’s refusal to move as part of the transfer bringing his fellow Portuguese midfielder to Italy.
“I have a contract with Inter,” said the 20-year-old on Radio Renascenca. “At this moment I want to remain and be coached by Mourinho. We’ll see what will happen.”

According to France Football, Frank Lampard has put pen to paper on a four-year contract with Inter.
The report emerged late this evening on the highly respected magazine’s online edition, but has not yet received any official confirmation from Italy or England.
It was no secret that Chelsea were in negotiations with Inter for the England international, but it is believed the deal has been clinched.
France Football maintain the contract is worth £5.8m per season for four years and the Stamford Bridge side will receive around £7.5m.
Lampard was eager to reunite with his former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho, although in the past there had also been talk of a move to Juventus with Claudio Ranieri.
It would be the second major capture for the Nerazzurri in only a matter of hours, as Portuguese newspaper A Bola reported on Friday evening that a £27m swoop for Ricardo Quaresma had also been completed.
